In the last couple of weeks, there has been this growing confidence within the Labour Party camp. They are optimistic there will be a rerun and they will win the rerun election. They have high hopes that the Tribunal will nullify the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and call for a rerun. But respected prophet and man of God, Primate Elijah Ayodele has declared that nthe Labour supporters are merely waiting in vain. He insists thsat Peter Obi can not become the president of Nigeria now.
In this interview with City People Senior Editor, WALE LAWAL (08037209290) the highly renowned prophet whose outstanding prophecies continue to send shock waves across the length and breadth of the country, he revealed that the race is over for Peter Obi and his Obidient followers.
I also want you to speak about the growing confidence of the Labour Party and their supporters. They are saying they are preparing for a rerun of the election because they are confident there will be a rerun, what do you think of this?
Well, what I will say is this, everybody can see whats going on. It’s a very close call. It is either they leave things the way are right now or go for a rerun. But the fact remains that, whether they go for a rerun or not, Labour Party is out of the race. They should forget the presidency for now. Maybe some years down the line, Labour’s time might come but it is definitely not now.
What is your impression of the first six weeks or thereabout of the President Tinubu administration?
I have said it before that under this government, there is going to be a lot of hardship. Prices of food and every other thing will go up. They made a big mistake. The fuel subsidy removal should’ve been done bit by bit and not at once. There will be a lot of chaos in the system. Serious economic hardship is still awaiting Nigerians. Salary of workers will be increased but it won’t help the situation at all. Tinubu will do his best but he will not be appreciated. There will be a lot of blackmail against his government. Some northerners will begin to fight him, some governpors too will fight him.
But from what you have seen, sir, would you say he has good intentions?
Yes, he has good intentions but majority of the people in his government will not share same intentions with him. They will only be making noise, promising the people what they won’t be able to deliver. I don’t need to lie, Tinubu’s government will face a lot of ups and downs. He will only do little but will not able to do much. And his government will not be able to fight corruption as expected. But we need to pray for him for God to give him the strength to complete his mission. It’s a mission that needs to be encouraged. It’s a mission that needs to be completed.
You have spoken several times about the internal crisis in the APC…
The sudden resignation of Adamu is the beginning of the problem. Many who worked for APC will not be rewarded. It’s those that will be decamping to APC that will be given opportunities in the government. A lot of things will go wrong. And you know, when it comes to election, there will always be rigging. It’s those who have the spirit that will win. For Bayelsa, if the governor does the right thing and all that is needful, nobody will get him out of that office. In Imo state, PDP and Labour Party have to work hard to unseat Uzodinma. The man is ontop of the game over there in Imo. The man is ready with everything. Labour Party and PDP have a lot to do if they really want to defeat him. And for Kogi state too, APC is ready. It’s Yahaya Bello that the others will be facing not the APC governorship candidate. Yahaya Bello is ready with everything to win the election for his successor. He won’t even make any noise. But he knows exactly what he needs to do to win the election.
What do you say about the pressure on the Ogun state governor right now?
Yes, for Ogun state, the PDP needs to do what is needful. Not all the governors will finish their terms. We have to pray not to see the accident of any governor. We have to pray that no governor will be incapacitated. That’s why Akeredolu needs prayers. And I have been warning him since last year. In Ogun state, the seat of Dapo Abiodun is shaking, if the PDP can play their cards right, something might happen. Enugu too is shaking.
The tribunal hearing the petition against the victory of Sanwo-Olu is in progress…
They are in progress, but will they be able ti defeat Sanwo-Olu? That cannot happen. You know, there are some truths that are bitter. But my own is to say it the way I have seen it, whether it is bitter or not. They cannot unseat Sanwo-Olu from the office through the tribunal.
There has been a growing concern that many of those who feel they worked for the Tinubu government will not be recognised, especially some northerners…
Yes, a lot of APC leaders who worked assiduously for Tinubu will be disappointed. So, there’s going to be a lot of problem in the government. For instance, the release of Nnamdi Kanu is very important. Somebody was advising him not to release Nnamdi Kanu, they are just trying to ruin his government. The boys will be coming out to terrorise people and cause problems in the east. Tinubu needs prayers and he really needs people to pray for him. Tinubu should listen more to his critics and ignore the sycophants who praise him everyday. He will get ideas from the comments of his critics.
What do you say to the school of thought that believes that if he releases Nnamdi Kanu today, the man will continue to forment trouble for the government?
Nnamdi Kanu cannot actualise Biafra nation, likewise Sunday Igboho cannot actualise Oduwa Republic. We cannot see the pressure until around 2025, that’s when we will experience the pressure, so that’s just it. A lot is goinmg to happen in Tinubu’s government. Tinubu is not God’s purpose but God’s plan. And the plan of the government is to prepare Nigeria for a better Nigeria and teach Nigerians some sense and for them to start planning ahead of time. If they give the Chief of Army Staff the free hand, the man will perform in terms of security. But they will not give him free hand. The cabals who ruined Buhari’s government will be at work again. And they will deceive Tinubu.
As a spiritual leader, sir, what advice would you give the president?
Let him seek the face of God and not man. Man will disappoint him but God won’t.
What about his wife, the first lady?
She is a good woman. Let her continue to support him in prayers.
