Ola Samuel is a hardworking Movie practitioner. She acts. And she produces. She is not one of the Movie practitioners who makes noise. She is focused. And she knows what she wants from her profession.
Recently, CityPeople asked her for an update on her career, over the last few months. “It’s been tough.
Hmmmm I really went through a lot. But I really appreciate God. But since the last 3 months, I have really taken my job seriously.”
What are the challenges she has faced over time? “A lot. I have had serious challenges with my children, coping as a single mum of 2. But I still thank God.”
How does she combine acting and movie production? So far, how many movies has she produced?
“Hmmmm.I am facing it ooo. But I am moving on. I am always on my own production.”
What is her plan for this year, as it unfolds? “I have a lot on my mind. I wish to travel out with my children. We need to spend quality time together.”
What has kept her going in the movie industry? Why has she not left?
“Because of my love for the job. I really love the job so much. It is God that has kept me moving on.”
We got her to tell us how she started acting. What year? Where? “Hmmmm since 10yrs now. I started with Baba Suwe. He was my boss then”, she explained.
We got her to tell us about her new movie, Ibudo, coming out soon.”And I am shooting another one next month Faderera, and all the ones I have shot are so far, Amope Olounje , Abike Ekun, Untraceable, My Love My Career, Tanimola and so on.”
What sort of a person is Ola Samuel? “I am a cool person and lovely mom to my boys and to my family. I pray to almighty God to help me more. I am very committed to my career. You will start seeing a lot of my work coming out soon.”
