Popular Lagos based event management outfit, Opydiva, is set to launch a new copyright trade and licensing show in Lagos between 12th and 13th April 2020. The show will be opened to trade exhibitors, amidst glitz and glamour.
The company is bidding to attract A-list publishers, agents, and vendors across children’s and adult markets and their global business partners, as well as fashion designers and art collectors, to the event. The inaugural show will take place at the Prestigious Lagos Television, Agidingbi Ikeja.
The creative director of OpyDiva, Adebulehin Oluwatosin Olivia told newsmen;
Opydiva shopping party is a trade fair/exhibition, It is an initiative of Opydiva event management. The trade fair is our first ever. It was an idea that came to me after I noticed Easter celebrations were not taken like that of Christmas.
In the bid to make this Easter colorful, I thought about introducing a shopping party, where we all shop and also party at the same time..
“OpyDiva is dedicated to fostering cross-cultural cooperation and international trade among vendors. With the debut of this new trade show, OpyDiva aims to extend its reach to cultivate new relationships and international business alliances among traders.
“This is the first step, but then there will be a further step later.”, she told newsmen.
Olivia said that despite the costs of hosting a trade event in Lagos, , prices would be kept as low as possible to allow all types of vendors to attend. She said he expected the fair to be about a third as big as the Lagos Tradefair in terms of space– with vendors and sellers able to take much smaller spaces than is currently obtainable in other trade fairs. This, she said, would keep costs down and allow more vendors to exhibit.
There would also be a cultural program running alongside the fair.
Nigeria’s leading soft sell, Citypeople will partner with Opydiva on the event.
