All the hotels in the Ile-Oluji community of Ondo State were fully booked on Thursday, December 9, 2021, as the entire town was completely shut down for the burial of the late Mama Victoria Mojibola Olubakinde, the mother-in-law of the founder of Christ Living Apostolic Ministries (CLAM) Pastor Wole Oladiyun.
The wake started with a lying-in-state session as Mama’s remains was displayed in a beautifully decorated room outside her house where family, friends, loved ones and colleagues had a glimpse of the face of Mama for the very last time before it is being committed to mother earth.
Not many people knew that Mama had touched several lives whether young or old but this was revealed at the wake where a lot of people had so many good things to say about the departed not out of respect for the dead but sincere expressions of her good deeds.
Popular Pastors From Lagos Storm Event
The roll call of Pastors from Lagos was unlimited. Spotted at the event was Apostle Dele Johnson, an expert on dream interpretation and the Founder and General Overseer of Jesus Liberation Ministries. Also at the Christian wake was Pastor Ezekiel Adeleke Atayero, founder of The Cross Christian Centre Ojodu Berger, Lagos.
Mama’s Children And Spouses Beautiful Attires
Who would not be able to spot the children of the deceased and their spouses from the crowd? They all stood out in their white attires and navy blue gele/cap. They took the front row at the event and when it was time for offering collection, Mama’s children carried the offering bags to their friends, family, loved ones and everyone in attendance for a donation towards the growth of the church.
Cathedral of St Peters Diocese Took Charge of The Programme
The ministers of God from the Cathedral of St Peter’s Diocese, Ile-Oluji were around at exactly 5:00 pm and the service commenced at the exact time scheduled. They took charge of the programme and ministration and were time conscious. The Reverend in charge ministered powerfully and a few people gave their lives to Christ. The take-home was that even in death, Mama Olubakinde was still working for God.
Pastor Wole Oladiyun & Wife Were Focused
It may look strange to see Pastor Wole seated amongst the congregation but that was required being an integral part of the deceased children but each time City People had a gaze of him, he and his wife were fully concentrated on the massage and were responding appropriately to the undiluted word of God that came from the altar.
It Could Have Been A Revival Session Too
People listening to the sound from afar would have thought that it was an open-air-crusade because of the powerful prayer points that were coming from the altar and the combined anointing of ministers of God present at the event. To say that there was an overflowing grace of God would be the most appropriate description of Mama Olubakinde’s wake service.
The Dokumasun Was Special Too
It is a common tradition in Ondo Town for the children, family and friends of the deceased to watch over the remains on the eve of its burial. This practice is very ancient but it is a way of celebrating the departed for the last time. This was done for Mama in a special way. Pastor Wole and his friends were present as well as other children of their spouses too. It was a night of melodious singing and dancing, a night of fun and celebration and there was plenty of food and drinks for those in attendance.
