Pres. Tinubu appoints Kazeem Kolawole Raji as DG, Nat. Board for technology Incubation (NBTI)

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Kazeem Kolawole Raji as the Director General of the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) under the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology.

 

This appointment reflects the Federal Government’s commitment to leveraging innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship as critical drivers of national development.

 

Raji brings over 25 years of extensive experience in leadership, project management, creativity, innovation and technology. He previously served as Executive Director (Technical Services) at the Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT), where he played a pivotal role in advancing satellite technology in Nigeria. His earlier career includes working with multinational telecommunications companies such as O2 Mobile/WFI Ltd (UK) and MTN Nigeria Communications Limited. At MTN, he served as RF Planning Manager/Head of Radio Planning (Northern Region), contributing significantly to expanding telecommunications infrastructure and enhancing connectivity across Northern and South-Western Nigeria.

 

Beyond his contributions to the technology sector, Raji was also appointed Director of National Youth Mobilisation (South West) for the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council during the 2023 general elections, showcasing his versatility and ability to inspire and mobilize young Nigerians for national progress.

 

An alumnus of the prestigious University of Ibadan, Raji holds undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in various disciplines. He is also a Certified Fellow of the International Professional Managers-UK (FCIPM-UK) and a Fellow of the Professional Managers Association-UK (FPMA-UK).

 

President Tinubu expects Raji to bring his wealth of experience, dedication, transformative and innovative mindset to the NBTI, aligning with the Renewed Hope Agenda to foster skills acquisition, entrepreneurship, supporting startups, technology incubators and the growth of Nigeria’s technology ecosystem by advancing Nigeria’s position as a hub for technological innovation in Africa.
