GUESTS STORM FUNERAL SERVICE

WHEN REVD. S.T.A.OLABODE GAVE THE SERMON
Revd S.T.A Olabode started the sermon with thanksgiving to God, who spared the life of the deceased till a ripe old age despite the many health challenges he faced. He also used the medium to appreciate the family members for their support, contributions and co-operation towards making the day a reality.
It was an unforgettable experience as people went into a very remorseful mood while members receive the counsel of the Lord from the Minister-in-charge. His sermon was based on life after death. He asked the congregation where they want to spend their eternity and they responded shouting Heaven and he asked them if their current lifestyle would earn them heaven they so much desire. He talked about the vanity in the things of the world, which human beings are desperate for and how it has led them to rituals, killings, laying with animals, kidnapping to mention a few. He spoke on the vanity of power, money, houses, cars, fame, affluence and how people go as far as killing to get all these things. He gave a reflection on how all those things they run after would be managed and mismanaged by people, who had no contribution to it and the person, who laboured for it would have to surrender all because no one has the time- table of when they are going to breathe their last.
In conclusion, he asked a heart-touching question and at this point, people were shedding tears. What would be said of you when you are no more? Is it going to be about the many evils done or the good deeds? He asked the congregation to think awhile if they want to spend their eternity with God in heaven or in hell with Satan. He also took the opportunity to make an Alter call and the response was massive and deafening. He prayed that the word would germinate, bear fruits and yield in their hearts.
