•Hold 1st Induction Ceremony In Grand Style
On Tuesday, 1st of February, 2022, the first of its kind gathering of professional foodservice providers was held in Lagos in grand style as the Association of Professional Food Service Providers of Nigeria held their 1st Induction Ceremony in Lagos. It was tagged: A NEW DAWN OF COMPETENCE AND QUALITY FOR FOOD PROFESSIONALS.
Many beautiful faces and professional caterers were at this event, and they had a swell time merrying, wining and dining with each other. It was also a rewarding day for many service providers as they received awards, for their good works.

LET’S START WITH THE ARRIVAL OF GUESTS
At 8:30 am that Tuesday morning, the doors of the prestigious Sheba Event Centre situated at No 20, Mobolaji Bank Anthony was thrown open to welcome the beautiful professional food service providers. Both the veterans and younger ones really turned up. The red carpet started at exactly 9:00 am while the program started at 10 am.
GBENGA ADEYINKA AS COMPERE
1st Induction Ceremony of Association of Professional Food Service Providers of Nigeria Party was compered by the wave-making stand-up comedian and seasoned MC, Gbenga Adeyinka, and he sure made the day a memorable one for them.
DJ JIMMY JATT ON THE WHEEL
You can’t get it wrong with the choice of DJ Jimmy Jatt any day, anytime. He was the official DJ for the day and he sure knows how to make his clients feel on top of the world.
AKIN SHUGA WAS ON BANDSTAND
Wave making Shuga Band was on the bandstand on this day. Trust Akin & His Band. Many guests didn’t want to go home when he started dishing out beautiful songs.
IYABO OJO GRACED THE EVENT
Star actress, Iyabo Ojo dazzled everyone when she came into the hall, to honour the Chairperson and all the Professional Food Service Providers. Many of them took pictures with her, and the Chairperson appreciated her greatly for honouring their invitation.
WHAT THE CHAIRPERSON SAID ABOUT THE EVENT

8 PROPOSED OBJECTS FOR THE ASSOCIATION
Vice President, Bolade Adebayo spoke on the proposed Objects for the Association of Professional Food Service Providers of Nigeria: (1) To encourage members to provide food services in a safe and sterile work environment in compliance with standard health and safety standards.
(2) To promote and protect the interest of members and to ensure unity among members.
(3) To act as a vital link between the association and the different government, business association, Nigeria Chamber of Commerce and Industries and Private Agencies, amongst others whenever the need arises.
(4) To play a vital role in advising members on how to market, package and advertise the food services in a professional manner and to encourage members to provide quality nutritious and flavourful food, to offer wholesome and ethnically diverse food options.
(5) To encourage members to provide excellent customer service that enhances the rapport with their client through responsiveness to needs and requests.
(6) To encourage members to provide catering services that support skill development and knowledge transfer.
(7) To render financial and supports to members in need of assistance.
(8) To ensure members comply with relevant regulations that regulate food service in Nigeria.
MRS. MORENIKE OKUPE & MR. TOKUNBO ENCOURAGES OTHERS
Just after a few caterers shared their experiences from events and clients, as directed by the MC. Mrs Morenike Okupe admonished and encouraged all the members on how they can always discharge their duties as professionals. Immediately after that, popular Obalende Suya boss, Mr Tokunbo Odebunmi also contributed and shared a few experiences on how to handle the food business successfully.
PRESENTATION OF AWARDS AND CERTIFICATE
Many members, especially the veterans were rewarded for their contribution towards the growth of the business. Many members were also given the certificate. After this was done, the veterans were invited for the cutting of the cakes.
