You said in one of your previous messages that we should not believe in prophets, are you saying there is no gift of prophesy as against God words?
No! I am not saying there is no spiritual gift of prophesy, or there are no prophets, but I am against commercial prophets and those who call themselves prophets just to deceive, confuse and extort ignorant people all in the name of God and spirituality. Read Ephesians 4: 11-14,(11. So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12.to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13.until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 14.
Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.)referring to the 5 old ministries in the body of Christ In a local church, it stated their functions and the purpose for the perfection of the saints and the work of the ministry. Apostleship and the office of the prophet are a thing in which one grows into overtime. It is not for every Tom, Dick and Harry as you have it all over the place today. No one should suddenly rise and declare himself or herself a prophet or prophetess. It is wrong to just assume the title of prophet or prophetess. It is wrong, you grow into it overtime and the local church which you belong into it among the elders would see it on you.
It is to edify the local body, the local church. Read also 1 Corinthians 14: 22-33,(22 Tongues, then, are a sign, not for believers but for unbelievers; prophecy, however, is not for unbelievers but for believers. 23 So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and inquirers or unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your mind? 24 But if an unbeliever or an inquirer comes in while everyone is prophesying, they are convicted of sin and are brought under judgment by all, 25 as the secrets of their hearts are laid bare. So they will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, “God is really among you!”26 What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation.
Everything must be done so that the church may be built up. 27 If anyone speaks in a tongue, two—or at the most three—should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. 28 If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and to God.29 Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said. 30 And if a revelation comes to someone who is sitting down, the first speaker should stop. 31 For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged.32 The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets. 33 For God is not a God of disorder but of peace—as in all the congregations of the Lord’s people.)
Not a prophet that people go to like an oracle, that ended in the Old Testament. Also, Prophesying has two dimensions; Forth-Telling and Fore-Telling. What I do here is Forth-Telling, telling forth and calling forth the good things that God has ordained for your life. Seeing the future event is a gross prerogative, it doesn’t happen all the time. 95% of what we may want to see or know is already in the Bible. The Bible is surest guide. Seeing visions for people is wrong, it is deceptive. Avoid them like a plaque, they will deceive, confuse and exploit you. Many even go diabolical so that they can begin to see vision for people, it is wrong, avoid it.
What is the best way to dispose the placenta of a new born baby? Some sayit should be buried in the ground, others say it should be burnt. I’m asking this in relation to the stories that we hear that people use this placenta for evil purpose to affect the life of the baby. Some say if it is burnt, it can’t be used again, but if it is buried, someone might see you while burying it and come back for it for his evil plans.
[Laughs]… Africans and their mentality of witches, wizard and the perceived power of darkness always chasing us. While I am not denying evil powers, please let us stop been hunted by evil powers all the time. Let’s stop living in fear. You need to see what some people do even after burying their dead at the public cemetery.
Some of them keep vigil over the dead at the graveside for the fear of evil people coming to exhume their body for rituals. I am not saying these things doesn’t happen, but please, as children of God, let us stop living in perpetual fear, these things are exaggerated. If you ask me, I don’t even remember how we disposed the placenta of our children when we gave birth to them. The hospital has a way of disposing these things, but if you cannot trust the hospital, why not collect them and dispose them the way that you wish. Burn it up if you desire, throw it into the soak-away pit or bury it in the ground.
Why must you allow anyone to see you while doing such a thing that you consider very sensitive and important? Do it all alone, in the middle of the night perhaps, or are they hanging on a tree monitoring you? I don’t think this way at all; let us believe God more than we believe the devil. Greater is he who is in us than he who is in the world. I know some people would not be satisfied with the answer I have given. Please stop the fear, they are not real.
