Reveals His AGENDA
The 5th Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) Investiture took place a few days ago at the prestigious Balmoral Event Centre, inside The Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. It is an inauguration of new President of REDAN, Prince Akintoye Adeoye and other executive members both at the national and state levels.
It was a big event where top real estate players and other related people from other sectors gathered. Talk of government agencies in the built sector and other important personalities who graced the occasion. It was a full house.
The 5th investiture ceremony symbolises the commitment to a vision of excellence, integrity, and progress within the association as new leadership teams are sworn in and this is to reaffirm the unwavering dedication to advancing the real estate industry in Nigeria. The ceremony witnessed the appointment of the 5th President and other executive members, who will bear the mantle of leadership for the next four years.
The investiture comprises of 1, swearing in of the 5th President of the Assocation and all other executives members that will direct the affairs of the Association for the next four years.
Second, the relaunch of REDAN, and the foremost advocacy group, ensuring continuous transparency and innovative regulation of the real estate sector in Nigeria. Thirdly, improvement of the standard of living of the citizens, enhance productivity and promote sustainable economic growth across the nation. And lastly, to demonstrate a commitment to expansion, development and building a resilient real estate sector in Nigeria..
The opening remarks was delivered by a renowned real estate player, Dr Kennedy Okonkwo. His address officially kicked started the program.
After his speech came good will messages from distinguished Nigerians, who have had one or two encounters with the association. One of the important personalities of the night who gave his good will message was His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ogunwusi Adeyeye, the Ooni of Ife, who is also the grand patron of the association.
The Ooni of Ife urged the new president to work with the government across the board. He also called for cooperation and unity among the players. The Ooni also praised the new President and reminded him of his origin.
Only a few people know Prince Akintoye is from Ile Ife. In fact, he is from a royal family in Ife.
The new President reveals his agenda for the REDAN for the next four years. Prince Akintoye promises to promote positive change within the real estate industry through advocacy, transparency, innovation, professionalism, technology, ethics, credibility and discipline. The continuous engagement with government and private sector players will foster growth and wealth creation in the real estate sector. He also promised to form partnership network and collaboration. The association will establish a robust partnership with the public and private sectors, NGOs, and international bodies. The inclusivity and diverse membership is also one of the agenda of the new President.
Some of the big names at the event include: HRM Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle (Patron), Chief Olabode Afolayan (Patron), Chief Tunde Fanimokun (Patron), Mallam Ibrahim Aliyu (Patron), Barrister Komolafe Olaitan (Patron), Engr. Anthony Okwa (Patron), Ooni of Ife HIM Adeyeye Ogunwusi (grand patron)
Big real estste players also made statement at the investiture. Somebody like the Group Managing Director of Adron Homes & Properties, Aare Adetola EmmanuelKing who is also one of the big contributors to the success of the investiture, was present from the start of the event to the end. Just like Dr Ololade Abuta, who also contributed a huge part to the success of the event. What about Mr Jide Ogunleye, CEO, Denaro Properties, they all looked dapper in their various attires. While Mr Kunle Adeyemi, the South West, REDAN Vice President dazzled in his traditional attire.
Prince Akintoye made a shocking revelation when he was called on stage for his remark. He spoke about his traditional wear and how he felt in it. According to the new president, “I have never wore this type of dress (agbada) before. But I like it tonight and I will order more of it. I will order 20 more”.
Akintoye Adeoye is a versatile Lawyer with a wide range of educational and professional achievements. He was born in January 1966 and began his academic journey at Methodist High School in Okitipupa. He then pursued his Higher School Certificate (HSC) at the Federal School of Arts and Sciences in Ondo.
Continuing his educational pursuits, Akintoye attended Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, where he obtained both his first and second degrees in Laws (LL. B, LL.M). He further consolidated his legal knowledge by attending the Nigerian Law School in Victoria Island, Lagos, and enrolled at the Supreme Court of Nigeria as Solicitor and Advocate.
In addition to his knowledge seeking drives, Akintoye also holds a Bachelor of Theology obtained at LIFE Seminary, which is affiliated with the University of Ibadan. This demonstrates his dedication to theological studies and his commitment to expanding his intellectual horizons.
Recognizing the importance of continuous professional development, Akintoye has pursued further training opportunities throughout his career. He completed training at the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies in Kuru, Jos, which provided him with valuable insights into policy formulation and strategic decision-making. Additionally, he participated in programs such as the Owners Managers
Program (OMP2) and the Chief Executive Program (CEP 18) at the Lagos Business School, Pan African University, Lagos, Nigeria enhancing his entrepreneurial skills. . He is the Chairman of Saggezza Partners Ltd., Dylin Fractions Ltd., and Wealth Colony Investment Club LLP (UK).
Akintoye has also sought specialized training in mediation at the Lagos Multi-door Court House, showcasing his commitment to alternative dispute resolution. Furthermore, he pursued an Advance Management Program at the University of Navara Business School in Barcelona, Spain, broadening his skillset in business management. He has also attended seminars and workshops in countries such as the United Kingdom, United States of America, India, China, Ghana, Spain, and Uganda, further enriching his professional knowledge and global perspective.
Driven by a strong sense of professional dedication, Akintoye holds memberships in esteemed organizations such as Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN), where he presently holds the position of Deputy President 1.
Barr. Akintoye is the ideal successor for the position given that he is very successful at managing people and has a proven track record of starting and finishing real estate ventures. He is an exceptionally diligent individual who, as a consequence of his broad experience and exposure at work, is highly capable of formulating astute, innovative, and forward-thinking ideas that will effectively carry out the Association’s goals, aspirations, and visions.
