It took a lot of fans by surprise when Nollywood’s most eligible bachelor, Frederick Leonard proposed to star actress, Peggy Ovire on her surprise birthday bash few days ago.
It also went viral that the couple will be tying the knot on November 2022 in Warri, Delta State. Many, most especially their colleagues in the industry, were not surprised because they have been following their love story.
The whole engagement drama started with a special post shared by Frederick to celebrate Peggy on her birthday.
According to him, “to have and to hold, to love and to cherish, in good times and in all times. Through the years, my love for you has remained constant.
Look how far we have come baby. It’s your birthday today and so the world celebrates you.
But our love, I will celebrate always. Happy birthday, my baby, my valentine”. The actress who didn’t waste time responded to his special message on her birthday.
She said, “Babeski babeski sebi C2 you want to make me cry? What will I do without you? In good times and in all times darling. Love you forever babe. I love you”.
After the surprise birthday party organised for Peggy, the actor went down on his knees to propose like a gentle man, while friends and family members hanged around to celebrate them.
After the proposal, the two love birds shared more loved up messages on Instagram with their pictures boldly displayed.
According to Peggy, “you were first my best friend. You always said, ‘Peggy’ I will make you a happy woman. Keep praying for me. I will give you the finest things in life, I will love you right.
Every day, you come through and yesterday, you gave me a shocker again lol.
I have watched you grow, blossom and keep to those promises.

Responding to the message, the star actor wrote, “I loved you from the moment I laid my eyes on you, I still love you now. Remember always, that in good times and in all times. I will love you forever! Mrs. Leonard”.

Many have also wondered why Frederick chose Peggy, out of the many Nollywood actresses dying to settle down with him.
Peggy is not just a pretty face but a combination of beauty and brains. She is one of the few actresses who have been able to stay off scandals despite their success in the industry.
