On Saturday, 31 July, 2021 the GMD of RevolutionPlus Property Company, Dr Bamidele Onalaja was installed the 20th President of Rotary Club of Maryland Ikeja district 9110. The investiture took place at the Magnificent Event Centre, Block 2, Plot 2 Okunde, Blue Water Zone, Off Remi Olowude Street, Lekki, Lagos. The event had many great personalities in attendance and all the creme de-la-creme in the society were present. Talk of celebrities who stormed the event, they include Odunlade Adekola, Toyin Abraham, Kehinde Bankole, Broda Shaggi, and many others who would be unveiled in the list below.
Let’s tell you more about the new President of Rotary Club, Maryland Ikeja district. He’s Dr Bamidele Onalaja, GMD, RevolutionPlus Group. He’s someone who has proved his mettle in real estate. He’s the current Chairman of the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN), Lagos State Chapter. He’s a leader of men. The Lagos State Chapter won the best-run REDAN state chapter in Nigeria under his watch.
He believes so much in helping people. He’s the founder of Chris Bamidele Foundation; a foundation where widows and other vulnerable people in the society are empowered . And maybe that’s why he wants to do more by becoming the 20th President of the Rotary Club of Maryland.
YEMI SODIMU AND TOYIN ABRAHAM CO-ANCHOR THE EVENT
One of the veterans in Nollywood is Mr Yemi Sodimu and he’s also well respected for his contribution to the sector. He co-anchored the event with a popular actress, Toyin Abraham. They complemented each other on stage. With the two on stage, you could hardly get it wrong and they didn’t disappoint as they gave their best to make the day a memorable one.
The beautiful event kicked off with the recognition of the past President of Rotary Club of Maryland, Ikeja District 9110. It was while doing this that the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, stormed the venue with his entourage. Don’t forget he’s the Royal Father of the day and he didn’t disappoint.
MEET THE CHAIRMAN OF THE DAY, MR NNAMDI EZEIGBO
He is the CEO, Slot System Limited. He gave the acceptance speech and he made very instructive remarks. He said prior to the time, he didn’t know much about Rotary but he now knows better. He said his cheque would come through his foundation; Slot foundation.
OONI OF IFE REVEALS A LOT ABOUT ROTARIAN BAMIDELE ONALAJA.
The first-class king revealed that the anthem of the Rotary Club always fascinated him and also discloses that Rotary Club had chosen a perfect leader in Rotarian Bamidele. He said: “I call him Mr RevolutionPlus. I believe him because he would execute any task you give him. He’s a man of his word and that’s what endeared him to me. I was surprised when I heard about the amount he would be raising. He has the energy to raise more than that. That’s too small for him. I won’t announce the amount I would give but I will donate into the project. He concluded by praising his wife and also prayed for her for the support she gives husband.
In his speech he announced that, Ooni who henceforth would be the honorary Rotary Club. The official ceremony would now take place at his Ile Ife Palace. The Ooni of Ife was honoured with an award of appreciation.
REV ESTHER AJAYI ALSO NARRATES WHY SHE’S ALWAYS GIVING
She is the Chief Launcher and she didn’t disappoint Rotarian Bamidele Onalaja, as she arrived early at the venue. She said she didn’t know much about the Rotary Club until she was invited to Micheal Effiong’s investiture that took place in Ikeja and she was briefed about it by Chief Dele Momodu. I so much believe in giving. I always give kudos to the people who are willing to help and that’s my calling. What I can promise is that you will have a fruitful and memorable tenure. And she disclosed that she would like her husband to join the Rotary Club.
She was also given an award of appreciation.
IDRIS SALAKO REVEALS SHOCKING THINGS
“I don’t usually attend events like this, but this is special. Let me say this: anytime I see RevolutionPlus advert on TV, I always say, one day I will catch you. “Mr Idris Salako is the Honorable Commissioner, Physical Planning and Policy in Lagos.” So, anytime I see his advert I would say I would catch him, but he is so diligent and truthful in his business”, he remarked. He also won an appreciation award.
DR LARRY IZAMOJE OF BRILA GROUP IS THE CO-LAUNCHER.
One of the early comers to the event was Dr Larry Izamoje. He was neatly dressed in his native wear (Agbada) and he also donated big to the project of the new president. He said he would be donating every quarter. And also praised the new president for being a good friend.
WHAT ABOUT THE WIFE OF THE NEW PRESIDENT, MRS TOLULOPE ONALAJA?
She was beautifully dressed in a well-cut gown. She was virtually everywhere and ensured a perfect outcome of the event. Don’t forget she’s also a past President of a Rotary Club.

HIS PLANS
He has launched several projects worth several millions before the investiture and he has plans to do more with additional projects lined up. The value of the project is worth N100 million. He said that part of it would be going into providing basic health needs, building of schools, and providing many other services to the people. The new President also reveals that he would do projects that would help people meet their needs.
DCP YETUNDE LOUNGE PRESENT
She is one of the high-ranking police officers in Lagos. She said Rotarian Bamidele has always been there to support the police force. She said he has helped her station while she was at Panti. “And that’s why I’m here today to support him” and I want to tell everyone that you have chosen the right person. The beautiful woman was also honoured. Also honoured were Bode Agoro (permanent secretary lands bureau Alausa), Chief Adefowope Orioye, Barrister Toke Benson-Awoyinka, among others.
SUGAR BAND SERENADES GUESTS
One of the highlights of the event was when the popular live band sugar band climbed the stage to dish out melodious songs. He literally set the hall aflame with his beat and guests couldn’t help it, as they all danced their hearts out.
Also present at the Investiture is popular Nollywood actress, Kehinde Bankole and Kabiesi of Isonyin and wife, Oba Abdul-Rasheed Omotayo Cossy Salami and many other personalities.
