Inside his country home at Rumuepirikom town in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers State Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike is happy that his dream of having a Helicopter landing site inside his palatial country home is now a reality in Port Harcourt. The mansion is located at a prime position along Ada George Road opposite The Carpenters’ Church, Mile 4, Port Harcourt. What many people must understand is that the project was expedited action as construction workers were always seen working at late hours each day to ensure they made sure that they met with the deadline of completion date. Behind the palatial country home of Governor Wike is a massive Sporting arena that has 2-double Lawn Tennis Courts and an entertainment center with several appurtenances of conveniences including lodging section for visitors.
Currently, his entire backyard has been cordoned off public traffic due a few weeks ago there was security infraction leading to Police officers’ regular patrol of the area. The Rivers State Governor is not resting on his oars in making sure that he clinches the Peoples Democratic Party-PDP’s Presidential Ticket should the party zone such to the Southern part of Nigeria. And to make sure that he controls the number of visitors to his private home a need for Helipad becomes necessary, which to him protests his visitors from the prying eyes of motorists in the ever-busy Ada George Road in Rumuepirikom.
