Road Transport Associations Impasse: Cp Ishola meets with road transport executives

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Ishola Olanrewaju psc+, mnips, has met with executives of the Ministry of Transport, Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria (MOUN) and Tricycle Operators Union of Nigeria (TOUN) over the brewing tension amongst the associations regarding their registration status.

At the meeting which was held in the conference hall at the Command Headquarters, the CP emphasized the need for the union executives to rein in their members, warning that the leadership of these unions will be individually and collectively held responsible for any breakdown of law and order in any part of the State as a result of their conduct.

Additionally, the CP Ishola reiterated the commitment of the Command to working closely with the Ministry of Transport and the unions to ensure their safety and that of all road users.
