The much anticipated Russia 2018 world cup draw has finally been released on Friday, December 1, 2017. The Super Eagles have been placed in group D alongside age long rival country Argentina. Also in the group are Iceland and Croatia.
Nigeria has, over the last four world cups faced Argentina in the preliminary stage and have lost each game against the country.
The last friendly match that was played between the two big teams is a pointer that the tournament would be a different ball game.
Since Iceland is coming to the world cup for the very first time, there are possibilities the country will not be much stressful for the Eagles to defeat.
The Eagles are however advised not to rest on their oasis as Croatians are big players and clip their wings at the slightest trace of negligence.
