The release of FIFA 19 is upon us, and fans are eagerly looking for details on the next installment of EA Sports’ popular football game.
The game’s developers launched a World Cup 2018 edition on FIFA 18 to accompany the tournament in Russia and the 2019 edition will soon be released into the market.
Cristiano Ronaldo has already been confirmed as the game’s cover star, and the Portuguese and Juventus football star would be gracing the front for the second year in succession.
While Nigerian fans of the FIFA gaming series are awaiting the release of FIFA ’19, it’s only natural that they get to know the top-rated Nigerian players in the game.
1. Jay-Jay Okocha
Even though in real life we miss the sheer football wizardry of Okocha, fans of the game will get a chance to relive the soccer star’s prowess on FIFA 19, thanks to the ‘Returning ICONS’ feature.
In the game, Okocha’s strength is in his ability to dribble and he’s rated 94 in that, with an overall rating of 90.
2. Wilfred Ndidi
Wilfred leads the active players on the game in terms of high ratings. Wilfred Ndidi has an overall rating of 80. As a center defensive midfielder, he has a high rating of 83 in defending.
3. Victor Moses
If you’ll miss having Victor Moses on the Nigerian national team, he’s available to be called upon on FIFA 19. He has an overall rating of 78, and his dribbling rating is 80.
4. Odion Ighalo
If you’ve forgiven Odion Ighalo for missing those chances against Argentina at the World Cup, then you might consider picking him as a part of your FIFA 19 Super Eagles team.
With an overall rating of 77 and the highest rating in pace (81), he might just deliver.
5. Aminu Umar
If you’re looking for another Super Eagles star whose rate for pace is enviable, Aminu Umar is your ‘go to’ guy. The right midfielder has a rating of 89 in pace and an overall rating of 76.
6. Henry Onyekuru
Even though he has an overall rating of 76, but with a rating of 90 in pace is enough to seriously consider selecting him, especially if acceleration and sprint speed are what you’re looking for in the players you want to select.
7. Moses Simon
Moses Simon’s ratings in pace (92) and dribbling (81) make him a strong player to look out for during selection, even though he has an overall rating of 76.
8.Alex Iwobi
Like Moses Simon, Alex Iwobi’s strong points are in pace and dribbling, in which he’s rated 77 and 80 respectively. His overall rating is 76.
9. Kelechi Iheanacho
Although Kelechi Iheanacho has an okay rating of 78 in pace, his ratings in dribbling and shooting are enough for a player to take him seriously. The 21-year-old has an overall rating of 75.
10. Ogenyi Onazi
Also with an overall rating of 75, you might want to select Ogenyi Onazi for every other thing except shooting. The 25-year-old has a rating of 64 on the game, but when it comes to pace, dribbling, defending, passing and physicality, it’s all green for him.
