Omo-ilu“ Hall in Ijebu-Igbo was filled to the brim on Saturday, 2nd of September, as popular Ogun Polictican, Senator Buruji Kashamu, gave back to the society. The event, which was themed“ Ileya Party` kicked off a day before Ileya Day, 1st of September, 2017, as the Ijebu-Igbo billionaire gave out rams, bags of rice, groundnut oil and cash gifts to many indigenes and residents of the Ijebu Community. The beneficiaries cut across different groups as the gifts were freely shared without bias. The grand reception on Saturday was set up so that many friends of Senator Buruji Kashamu could come to wine and dine with him. MANY OGUN PDP STALWARTS STORM IJEBU-IGBO FOR BURUJI
It was an array of those who matter in Ogun state PDP at the ‘Omo-Ilu’ hall on Saturday as Senator Buruji Kashamu held a one-in-town Ileya party. The event paraded many PDP members, who came in many hours before the event kicked off. OGUN PDP CHAIRMAN, ENGINEER ADEBAYO DAYO WAS THERE
The large turn out of members of PDP (Ogun State), who stormed Senator Buruji Kashamu party was a confirmation that he is well loved by the party’s stalwarts. One of the factional Chairmen of Ogun PDP, Engineer Adebayo Dayo, revealed to City People that if not for Senator Buruji Kashamu, PDP would have died in Ogun state. He explained that Senator Buruji Kashamu had been the one financing Ogun PDP in the past 14years. He also explained that Hon. Sikirulai Ogundele faction’s head is not the recognised Chairman of Ogun PDP. He gave many reasons Senator Buruji Kashamu is loved in PDP.
CHIEF EBENEZER BABATOPE MADE IT
Chief Ebenezer Babatope, one of the members of PDP Board of Trustees, also stormed Ijebu-Igbo for Senator Buruji Kashamu`s Ileya Party. The Ilesha, Osun State-born politician came in early and his presence immediately lit up the hall. He was one of those who sat at the head table with top dignitaries at the event and he spent ample time before he left.
SENATOR BEN BRUCE & BURUJI KASHAMU ARE FRIENDS FOR LIFE
Do you know that Senator Buruji Kashamu, the senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District, and the Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on States and Local Governments, Senator Ben Bruce, the owner of Silverbird Television, are very close? Yes, and City People can confirm to you that this Senator, who used to take swipes at each other in 2016 are now very close. In case you don’t know, Senator Ben Bruce and Senator Kashamu enjoy each other’s company and now attend many social events together. They were first sighted together at Senator Musiliu Obanikoro Mum’s burial, a few month ago and he was also at Ijebu-Igbo to support his friend. He was not alone as one of his look-alike brothers, accompanied him and they both enjoyed the coolness of the party, while the event lasted.
HERE COMES SENATOR BURUJI KASHAMU
Few minutes past 3pm, the whole hall, which was bursting at the seams, welcomed the celebrator, Senator Buruji Kashamu, who spotted a simple white attire. He was the focus of attention as he moved from table to table greeting the guests, who came from far and near to celebrate Ileya with him. His seat became a point of attraction as many top dignitaries were mostly there to chat with him as the party unfolded . There was no doubt that he was happy seeing the guests and he was up and doing despite contracting the event to a competent hand to handle.
FMR OYO DEPUTY GOVERNOR, AZEEM GBOLARUNMI & BOSE ADELABU PARTY TOGETHER
Oyo State former Deputy Governor, Alhaji Azeem Gbolarunmi, who served under Governor Alao Akala, came in from Ibadan. He was in attendance with Mrs Bosede Adelabu, the wife of Ibadan politician, the late Chief Lamidi Adedibu. They spent many hours before they left a few minutes past 7pm.
YINKA AYEFELE ROCKED THE HALL
Senator Buruji Kashamu’s joy knew no bound a few minutes past 6pm as he stormed the band stand of Juju musician, Yinka Aiyefele, to dance. Looking Regal, he danced for several minutes spraying the musician with many pounds. Yinka Ayefele, also danced along with the host.
SADE ADESOYE, LOOKS MUCH YOUNGER
Though, Diamond Merchant, Sade Adesoye, and her husband, Otunba Gboyega Adesoye, came in during the event, but guests couldn’t help but take notice of her as she walked in as an Ijebu Otunba that she is. Looking pretty in a silver ash French lace matched with a designer purse, Sade was the cynosure of all eyes. She joined Senator Buruji Kashamu on the band stand. Sade Adesoye’s beauty cannot be ignored as she looked half her age. So also, was Hon. Adijat Adeleye-Adedapo, who is the new female Mayor at Abeokuta Sport Club. She dazzled in a fitted black and white dress, which looked good on her body.
3 KASHAMUS NIECES DAZZLE @ THE PARTY
Lagos big babes, Teniola Kashamu aka Tenicoco and her elder sister, Eniola Kashamu were all at their home town, Ijebu-Igbo, to support their Uncle, Senator Buruji Kashamu. They were joined by their baby sister, Damilola Kashamu. They also came with many of their friends such as Toni Dawodu, Ronke Olatunde, Toyin Olatunde, Bola Ogedengbe to mention a few.
SMALL DOCTOR, KEEPS GUESTS DANCING
Popular music act, Small Doctor, litterally set the roof on fire a few minutes past 5pm. Though, he came in a little before 5p.m and joined Yinka Aiyefele singing many of his albums. On special request, he later entertained guests when he sang many of his hit tracks. The high point of his performance was when he sang “ye ma su”, the youth and the aged in the hall all stood to dance.

Many Nollywood actresses and actors made it a day at Ijebu-Igbo to show love to Senator Buruji Kashamu. Among those sighted were: Zack Orji, Fred Amata, Odunlade Adekola, Mosun Filani, Kemi Afolabi among many others.
