Top Osun politician and All Progressive Congress, APC chieftain, Senator Iyiola Omisore has asked the stakeholders of The Osun Progressives to tender an unreserved apology for a press release issued by the group stating that Aregbesola’s faction has rejected the nomination of Senator Omisore as National secretary.
Recall that the group, which said it rejected his candidature in its entirety, described it as selfish and an imposition clothed in consensus.
According to the Chairman, Adelowo Adelowo Adebiyi stated that it had noted the dangerous dimension that some leaders of the party within and outside the State are taking to realize their ambition.
According to Adebiyi “As a caucus of progressives, we owe ourselves a duty to caution our leaders and other members of the party on the forthcoming National Convention of the party, as regards the inordinate ambition of Senator Iyiola Omisore.
In reaction to this allegation, Senator Omisiore, through his legal advisers has written to the chairman and the secretary of the TOF, demanding a retraction, an apology and payment of damages to the tune of 2 billion naira for the “libellous publication against Senator Omisore.
