Senator Shehu Sani of the People Redemption Party (PRP) has lost his bid to return as the Senator representing the Kaduna Central Senatorial seat after as the All Progressive Congress (APC)’s Senatorial candidate in the 2019 National Assembly election, Mallam Uba Sani won the election.
He scored 355,242 votes to beats Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Lawal Adam Usman who had 195,497 and PRP who got 70,613 votes.
The result for the senatorial election was declared by the Returning Officer for Kaduna Central, Professor Zakari Muhammad from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.
Out of the seven local government areas under the senatorial district, APC had the highest number of votes in five LGAs and PDP won in two while Shehu Sani did not win his electoral polling unit, ward and local government area.
