West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has refused to rule out a move for Chelsea captain John Terry once he becomes a free agent this summer.

The Blues have announced that their long-serving defender will be departing Stamford Bridge at the end of the current campaign after 22 years of loyal service.

Terry has stated that he has no intention of retiring, with the 36-year-old determined to make the most of his playing days.

It may be that he is offered the chance to continue turning out on a Premier League stage, with Bilic of the opinion that several clubs will be in the market for the ex-England international’s experience.

He told Sky Sports: “He definitely has got at least a couple of years left with his quality and experience and leadership.

“Whether that will be with West Ham or elsewhere I don’t know, we don’t think about that right now but I don’t think it is the end of John Terry’s career. He’s going to do well.

“Every manager and club would think about John Terry if he’s available because there are not many leaders like him, but then again we have experience in that position, we have good players in that position, so never say never but to be fair I don’t think about that right now.”

Terry will be leaving Chelsea having made over 700 appearances for the club and helped them to several major honours, including four Premier League titles.

He has, however, been restricted to just 10 outings in all competitions this season and is eager to find regular football again before hanging up his boots.
