Upon the arrival of the LRT at the incident scene, it was discovered that a loaded gas tanker with registration number BRA-179XA was involved in a solitary accident.
Further investigation gathered at the scene indicates that the gas tanker fell as a result of overspeeding and rammed into the vehicle in front of it.
There was no loss of life but the driver of the gas tanker sustained injury and has been rushed to General hospital (Epe) for medical attention.
The agency responders are working alongside the FRSC, LASTMA and Lagos State Fire Service on ground to ensure the safety of motorists along Epe bridge.
The Agency’s crane has been dispatched for swift recovery of the gas tanker, operation is still in progress.
