Popular society lady, Bisola Ali Balogun and her loving siblings held a classy burial ceremony for their late father, a Bennet Adeyemi Jeyifous in Lagos state.
The event was a celebration of the deceased, for a life well spent. Ade-Jey,as people fondly call him died last January at the gracious age of 81 leaving behind his wife, Bisi; their children; Olufemi, Adekunle, Omoniyi and Bisola, as well as other relations.
The burial ceremony started on Thursday March 24th 2022, when the Christian Wake-keep was held at the Surulere Baptist Church, along Ojuelegba road, in Surulere, Lagos. On the
following day,Friday,25th March, 2022, there was Lying-in-State, where the body of the deceased was displayed at the premises of the same church. Family, friends and well wishers were allowed to have a glance at him and give him last respect before he would be laid to rest. This was done as early as 8am.
Late Pa Jeyifous was so prominent in the church where he worshiped till death. He was an elder figure of the church having held many enviable positions as patron of two different groups in the church.They are Church ushers and Young Men Christian League (YMCL). He also held the position of the President of the Baptist Brotherhood in the church. His philanthropic gesture is also worthy of note.
These are the reasons the church gave him a befitting burial service. He has really been helpful to the work of God.
At exactly 11am, the body of the deceased was brought to the church for a final burial service which was conducted under the supervision of high ranking officiating ministers and men of God. It was all about a moment of reflection about vainess of life and the need to return to the lord in total submission.
A lot was said about Pa Jeyifous life and times, as a devoted Christian. His wife, children and members of the family prayed that God Almighty would grant them the fortitude to bear the great loss and continue to uphold them.
Immediately after the church service, Pa Jeyifous’s body was taken to his residence at Ogba area of Lagos state where he was buried.
The Service at the grave yard was conducted after which his body was committed to mother earth, amidst tears from family members as they wished him farewell home.
They would indeed miss Pa Jeyifous.
Following the burial of Pa Jeyifous, the children and the entire family held a classy reception party for their guests who traveled from far and near to take part in the celebration.
The reception party was held at The Event Centre, behind MKO Abiola Gardens in Ikeja.
The party was a classy one,as many celebrities stormed the hall to celebrate with the beautiful and trendy Bisola Ali Balogun and her siblings for giving their deceased father a befitting burial. It was also a colourful party which saw the hosts and their guests styled their Ankara Aso-ebi to taste.
It was as if there was a fashion contest at the party.
The musician of the day was the Melody Spinners Royal band, a very creative and entertaining music band. It was an evening of total fun for the hosts and their guests.
Topping the list of society women that rocked the party from the beginning to the end are friends and guests of Bisola, the daughter of late Chief Jeyifous. They are beautiful, classy and epitome of fashion. Their presence and display at the party brightened the party mood and added lots of glamour to the event. Some of them are friends who came from all over the globe.
They are stunning beauties like Nike Shittu, Ayo Lamina-Abu, Tutu boston, Peju Oloyede, Barrister Rita Opuoru, Bisola Abiodun, Lanre Williams, Olori Fehintola Abdul, Juliet Odesanya, Rhoda Alakiu, Rhoda Obeto, Tegah Joy, Tayo Lawson, Bidemi Ajayi, Bisi Adesanya, Esther Ajiboye, Nkechi Olisa, Bola Saka, Sumbo Bada, Busola Odukoya, Linda Akinfolarin , Bunmi shafe, Yeye Mrs Bukky Faleke, Dayo Shittu, Yinka Akinsola and among others.
Meanwhile, Bisola’s siblings, Olufemi, Adekunle, and Omoniyi also had splendid moments with their respective guests at the party.
There was enough food and drinks to cater to the huge number of guests who graced the party.
Lots of gift items were distributed, as souvenirs in appreciation, to guests that came in their numbers to celebrate with them.
