Dr. Babatunde Hakeem Soile and his siblings celebrated their mother, Alhaja Kudirat Temitayo Soile’s 70th birthday in style. The event which was held on the 10th of December at Nuga Planet Event Centre in Sagamu, Ogun State had Adebade catering as the food and drinks provider. The Brotherhood securities were tasked with the security of the guests. Mc Obajokes and DJ Stunt provided guests with loads of laughter and good music.
The event started around 1:12 pm with an opening prayer by Alhaji (Sheik) Musemil Kayode Adeyanju-Olodeoku. This was followed by music from Sola Olufemi & the Music Elite band group to herald celebrant’s arrival with her all-white lace and dark purple gele. The male children were all on gold Agbada with black and white caps, whereas their wives were all dressed in green and spotted pink Aso-Oke on pink gele.
In the course of the event, Dr. Babatunde Hakeem Soile, the first son of the celebrant, told City People that it was a pleasure to celebrate their mother any day. “She is so wonderful, she’s the best mother one can have. She’s so supportive, she can do anything for you, she can go all out and do anything for her children. So it’s a real privilege for her to be alive with all her children, grandchildren, and daughter-in-laws all present here to celebrate and give mummy a wonderful shout-out today,” he said.
According to him, mama loves birthdays and she’d celebrate her children in their absence. “She loves birthday celebrations so much that she’d celebrate each and every one of us on our birthdays. Sometimes she does souvenirs without any of us knowing about it. So, prior to this, mummy had celebrated every decade she had lived, so it has always been a celebration with her. She’s a wonderful woman and I’m so proud to be called her son,” Dr. Soile said.
Otunba Kayode Soile, another son of mama said that he is so happy to see her mum celebrate her 70th birthday. “Deep down in my heart, I’m so grateful, so grateful for the fact that I have the opportunity to witness mummy celebrate her 70th birthday.
“For all the amazing things she has done and still doing for her children and people around her, she deserves to be celebrated, especially at 70. It’s a feat for any at 70, so I’m fortunate to be alive and celebrate my mum at 70, I thank God for her health and pray she does another decade, which she would definitely be celebrated as well,” he said.
Dr. Hakeem Alawale, the celebrant’s son’s friend, said that he is very excited to see his friend’s mum celebrate her 70th birthday and wishes her more birthdays and by God’s grace, watch her celebrate another decade. “I can only pray that the almighty God will grant her long life, and prosperity and almighty God give her good health to enjoy the rest of her life.
“I pray that my friend and his siblings continue doing the good things that they’re doing in making their parents happy,” Dr. Alawale added.
The grandchildren of mama gave some lovely speeches about their grandma and pray that God keeps her alive for them. This was followed by a goodwill message by Alhaji Muritala Soile, husband to the celebrant. After this, followed a second entry dance by mama, her husband, children, and grandchildren. This time, the guests were called out to celebrate with her on the dance floor with many spraying her loads of money, alongside her daughter-in-laws.
It was at this time that the Mc asked mama to come up the stage once more for the cutting of the cake and it followed with dance, dance, and dance. The event came to an end at about 6:22 pm. This will go down the memory of many that attended the event because Mrs. Soile at 70 looked really young. She was like 20 years younger than her age. And her strength, and agility when she was dancing was a marvel to many of the guests.
