The United States of America Consulate in partnership with other local partners, organized ‘Stars and Legends’ music concert on the 14th of October 2023 at the Terra Kulture Lagos to fuse musical talents in Nigeria and the United States of America.
The concert’s featured performer was Maya Azucena, a highly acclaimed American singer-songwriter from Brooklyn, New York City. Maya is not only a multi-award-winning artist but also a dedicated humanitarian and cultural ambassador. Her focus lies on empowering women and youth, as well as addressing issues of domestic and sexual violence.
Sharing the stage with Maya were other notable artists, including Tee Mac Omatshola Iseli, MFR, a renowned Nigerian flautist with a rich cultural background blending Itsekiri and Swiss heritage. The Nigerian Army band and several other talented Nigerian artists also graced the event with their performances.
Among the distinguished attendees were Comrade Ayodele Adewale, high-ranking officials from the US Consulate, members of the diplomatic corps, and various Nigerian musical talents. This event provided an excellent opportunity for networking and connecting with exceptionally talented individuals.
