Tell us about your experience as a fashion designer?
My experience as a fashion designer could be trace back to my uni days…I was into buying and selling of dresses, shoes and bags for both male and females. I would style celebrities and friends and won several awards for most fashionable female. I believe in the popular saying which is: Dress as you want to be addressed.
Why did you choose fashion designing?
From a very tender age, I began making sketches of clothing designs I envisaged in my artistic mind. With a growing portfolio of designs, I went a step further to vet tailors who could bring my ideas to life bringing to life my first ever collection.
What inspires your designs?
My inspiration comes from God and the ability to know exactly what I want in life, which is to provide Nigerians with unique, elegant couture outfits.
What are your challenges been a fashion designer?
the challenges been a fashion designer well there are lot of people I admire in the fashion world! Am always scared. I question my self can I do better? Will people like my designs? And this makes me challenge myself to be different and follow that style which people can recognize me for.
If your customer ask for a style that won’t suit them will you do it for them?
Well as a fashion designer I should be able to convince my client on what style to suit their various body types also I believe your clients represent you.
What are your biggest horrible challenges between you and client?
The biggest challenge between me and my customers is trying to please them and getting them a maximum satisfaction That way I sell myself and they represent my brand.
How has social media affect your fashion business
Social media as been a great platform in growing my business, people get to see my work on my pages and If they like it they follow and patronise me. I work from my house so social media is like a house where I interact with my client.
How do you select your fabric?
I design and sketch my style during my creative sessions. Then I decide what fabric best suits the design concept.
What else do you do apart from been a fashion designer?
