As a way to celebrate their customers in the season of love, Swatch Nigeria gave away watches running into millions in naira to lucky customers across their 13 stores nationwide, as a way to say thank you for standing by them year in, year out.
The Swiss made brand organized a raffle draw for their Valentine Promo tagged “Gift and Win Promo”, where the lucky winners were picked and presented their gifts in-store.
A popular businessman once posited that the secret of a thriving business is hidden in the satisfaction of the customers. This saying has proven to be true on many occasions and once again worked well for Smartmark Nigeria Limited, the sole distributor of Swatch wristwatches in Nigeria and Ghana.
Customers Get Reward For Their Patronage
Customers, who bought Swatch wristwatches from any of their stores during the Valentine Promo, irrespective of the amount or quantity bought, filled a form and the forms were collated for the raffle draw.
The Marketing Manager for Novare-Lekki Mall, Mr Elias Eze picked the winners for the Novare-Lekki Mall and the Palms Lekki Mall raffle draw respectively, which took place at the Swatch store in Novare-Lekki Mall, Sangotedo, Lagos.
At the Adeniran Ogunsanya Shopping Mall, Surulere, the Operations Manager Mr Bankole picked the winners for the Adeniran Ogunsanya Shopping Mall and the Ikeja City Mall raffle draw respectively.
Why Swatch Rewards Customers in Valentine Season?
The brand manager, Swatch Nigeria for Smartmark Limited, Mutiah Oropo who spoke to City People’s Brands & Products revealed that the essence of the event was to say thank you to their customers, show them love and appreciate them for their loyalty.
“February is the month of love as we all know, and during the Valentine period, we ran a promo in stores to show love to our customers. It was our way of saying thank you, our way of saying “we love you” to our customers.”
Happy Customers Express Excitement
Everyone who receives a gift no matter how small will surely be excited, more so one that is not expectant of the gift. Some of the winners expressed excitement after receiving the gifts of expensive wristwatches unexpectedly.
One of the winners at Novera-Lekki Mall, Mr Kunle Fagbayi who won a wristwatch, while speaking with Brands & Products said:
“Well, I feel excited, I’ve been using Swatch wristwatches for more than five years and this is surely an addition to what I have.”
“I want to say thank you to the company and that they should keep it up. To be frank, Swatch has been doing well so far. Since I’ve been patronizing them, I am yet to see a loophole or an area I expect improvements, their customer service is very good, they should just keep it up.”
A female winner at the Novera-Lekki Mall, Joy James fortunately had only patronized Swatch for the very first time and was hugely rewarded. She won herself a golden wristwatch; she had this to say to Brands & Products.
“I feel so excited; this is my first time of patronizing Swatch and also my first time of winning this kind of gift so I am very excited.”
“I’ve been using other brands before but now I’m so much in love with Swatch, It’s like I will always return here to get more products and a very big thanks to Swatch.”
Another winner, Mr Temilola Agoro also had a brief chat with Brands & Products and he had this to say:

Mrs. Mba Ikechuckwu, a proud winner of the Valentine raffle draw, expressed her joy after winning a smart Swatch wristwatch,
