Teenage Gospel Singer, Faith Butcher’s Single ‘The Saviour’ Gets Massive Airplay

by Reporter

Faith Butcher is an effervescent teenager who is known for being the inaugural winner of the Kids Gospel Challenge of 2019 in Barbados.

Born on October 11th 2005 and raised on the beautiful island of Barbados, this 15 yr old island gospel singer, began singing at the tender age of 6. She made her presence before many live audiences, which included her church, Sanctuary  Empower Centre, where her ministry was inevitably birthed. Her genre of music includes, but not limited to: Contemporary Christian music and christian pop. Singing is not the only gift/talent she has, she dances and she can also play instruments, she enjoys  playing the clarinet, drums, guitar and the keyboard.

Faith’s favourite colours are: red, white, teal and lavender, lots of her trendy clothing, designed and made by Maxine Butcher and Carla Witbooi, reveal these colours. Faith loves her  family and she values and appreciates both her parents, Charles & Maxine Butcher for the unconditional love and support they both show her. Her love extends to her elder brother Christopher Butcher (20yrs)  as well.

Faith believes that being grounded in Godly principles and having a positive outlook in every area of one’s life, is the key to a successful life. Her desire is to be used by God, with her singing, to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world, so that hearts and lives can be touched and transformed.

Another desire of Faith’s big heart is to give and reach out to the less fortunate. This Christmas 2020, she partnered with other charitable bodies in Barbados to collect and distribute non perishable food stuff and toys to families in need, especially those families that were negatively impacted by COVID-19. Faith wants her 2020 Christmas song, “The Saviour” to have purpose, so that when people listen to it, they would remember what the season is all about and focus on giving, sharing and helping their brothers and sisters, who they can extend a helping hand to. Faith is ecstatic about building her new found relationship with her brothers and sisters in Africa.
