Ebony King

Nigerian British-born mother of 3, CEO and Founder of ElevateHerUK, Community youth advocate and mental health champion, Ebony King is an inspiring story. This is because she has delved where others run. The selfless lady is involved in numerous activities across the UK and Africa. Due to her past experiences of being an unsupported teenage mother and labelled as a troubled child, she has, over the years, developed a strong passion for helping girls and young women in their time of grief.

And her works have not gone unnoticed. Recently she was supported by popular actress, Toyin Abraham who on her time in the UK, paid the NGO a visit.
ElevateHerUK provides several disadvantaged children with free school uniforms which helps to relieve Parents of financial burden.
Ebony’ revealed that the NGO will soon extend its benevolence to Nigerians in need ”My team and I will be bringing our services to Nigeria this summer and if anybody is interested, they can reach us on our social media pages,www.elevateheruk.org and help@elevateheruk.org.

ElevateHerUK has supported thousands of girls and young women from various backgrounds and is raising awareness on street harassment, peer-to-peer abuse and gang grooming.

“’I want to break down the stigma of reaching out for help when needed; in the black community mental health issues are silenced. We are often told by our Parents not to let people know our business and then we end up suffering in silence which is damaging to one’s mental health”. King said.
