May be you are tired of working for a boss who makes every workday stressful perhaps you are convinced you can make more on your own than working for someone else, or you just want to bring in a little extra Naira to take care of some bills, or you have been laid off and have not been able to find a new job, or may be you sure know it’s only stream of income that can sustain your family.
I want to tell you emphatically here that those are just a few of the possible reasons for a starting a business. But no matter what your reason is, what is important is that starting a business can be personally and financially rewarding- if you come up with the right busineas idea.

I could remember when I wanted to leave my paid job, that was the first question I asked myself, other questions you may ask are what is an easy business to start? And what is the best business to start at home? considering you may not have an office in the beginning.But the best question you need to ask yourself is What is the best business for me to start?
Know this , different businesses require different skills, abilities, and fund to get going. A great business for Mr. Wale might not be a good idea for Mr..Hakeem. Your own likes and dislikes also need to be considered. Some business might be lucrative but involve doing what you dislike doing. Others can be highly enjoyable but not produce enough income for your needs.
Now let’s go to how do you find real Business opportunities. The answer is as individual as you are. Let me highlight some criteria you should consider when you are deciding what type of business to start:
A. It is something you know how to do and can do well
B. It is something you like to do and would not mind doing it day after day
C. It is something with a broad enough appeal to sell on a steady basis
D. It can be sold at a price that will cover all your expenses and overhead and will still bring a healthy profit
E. The market ( your potential customers) is one you will be able to reach
F. You have or can raise sufficient funds to get the business started and keep it running until it becomes a profitable venture.
