The people of Kosofe constituency II are full of praise as they continue to shower encomium on Honourable Femi Saheed for adequately representing them in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Hon. Saheed succeeded the late Hon. Tunde Buraimoh who died a few years ago in the house. He came in through a bye-election which he won under the platform of the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC). Since he assumed his law-making duties in Alausa, he has been representing the people of Kosofe well.
The outspoken lawmaker was prominent among the strong voices who pushed for the enactment of various important bills in the house. They achieved formulating laws on Prohibition of Open Cattle Grazing, Lagos State Value Added Tax, Establishment of Lagos State University of Science and Technology, University of Education, Delineation of the Administrative Division of Lagos and many more.
In the past 14 months spent in the house, Honourable Saheed has been able to embark on many laudable projects for the people of his constituency in Kosofe. He sponsored motions which led to the approval of key projects like the Agboyi Link Bridge, Ajelogo Mini-Stadium and Magodo-Agiliti Link Road.
Among his many programmes are:
1. Distribution of Cash Grants/ Business Support Fund to over 600 deserving people of his constituency.
2. Distribution of 400 Writing Furniture to Public Schools in the Constituency.
3. Donation of 2 Mass Transit Buses for Free Students Ride.
4. Bursary Funds for best students in all Primary, Junior and Senior High Schools in Kosofe Constituency 2.
5. Collaboration with Rotary Club and Eye Foundation Hospital for sponsorship of Free Eye Cataract Surgeries for defected people.
6. Provision of make-shift shelter extension for Maidan Primary Health Centre
7. Laying of foundation of Agiliti Community Police Station.
8. Facilitation of Tree Planting and Beautification of Agiliti Community.
9. Facilitation of recruitment of his constituents into Lagos State Volunteer Corp.
10. Facilitation of Building of additional Classrooms for Maidan Primary School.
11. Investment in Sport and Talent hunting through Hon Femi Saheed Football Tournament and donation of Training kits to local football clubs.
12. Donation of Borehole Water Channels to 6 communities.
13. Donation of numerous Waste-to-Wealth Recycle Bins to community and religious houses.
14. Hosting of constituents at the 7th Annual Stakeholders Meeting focused on the rising trend in the abuse and use of hard drugs.
15.                  Engagement of Youths in various business and leadership development events
Once re-elected at the March 18th elections, Honourable Saheed has assured the people that he would continue to duly represent them and push for development oriented in Kosofe for the benefit of all.
