Thinking of buying a property? then, talk to us – Real estate expert, Monisola Olubunmi

by City People

Monisola Olubunmi is one of the big players in real estate. She is a real estate diva, interior designer, fitness enthusiast, and business coach.

She is the CEO of Executive Homes & Property, a real estate company that is doing so well. A few days ago, this pretty lady spoke to City People’s Publisher, SEYE KEHINDE about the exciting world of real estate.

We know you are a real estate person. What exactly do you do in real estate? Do you run your own outfit?

I currently run a brokerage business here in Lagos, Nigeria with the name Executive and Quality Lifestyle. We help property  buyers within and outside Nigeria secure incredible deals by connecting them with genuine sellers.  We make your  real estate investment process easier through our leverage on modern day digital technological tools.

Why did you choose to go into real estate business at the time you did?

I made a decision to fully venture into the real estate industry as an intern in the year 2016 after I witnessed the rise in the cost of  housing in big cities like Lagos and how there were limited modern houses to satisfy the growing population of the 21st century families.  I later started my company to help solve people’s housing needs and also create cashflow that can bridge the gap between the poor and the rich

Tell us about the estates you are currently marketing.

We just launched the Prime Gateway Estate located directly along the newly approved international airport at Ibeju-Lekki. It is a perfect fit for investors who love land banking because they are afforded the opportunity to  hold and resell and makeup to 200% profit margin as soon as the airport project commences in 2023.

Everybody is talking about Epe right now as the place to go and buy land. Why is that so?

Epe land prices have jumped over 100% in the last 5 years. The reason is the many government infrastructural developments that have occurred in the town and many more to be unveiled, such as the construction of largest food security systems, cashew processing plant, the new airport, etc.

Are there other places that are good locations to buy land?

Well, for me, the other locations that are a good buy in Lagos, Nigeria are Ibeju-Lekki, Ajah, and Gbagada on the Mainland. Interestingly, we currently have a three bedroom house project on going for a pre-launch sale at Gbagada, which is a central location that connects Lagos Island with the Mainland. Anyone who keys into the estate this month would enjoy a 15% discount when payment is done outrightly or deposit #20m only and spread payment for 6 months.

A lot of rich people are going into the real estate industry to invest, almost on a daily basis. Why is that so?

Of course, it’s because real estate is a highly lucrative business in the world with the lowest risk and has the ability to beat inflation.

As a lady, how have you found the real estate business? Is it challenging or interesting?

As a lady, I’ve found real estate both interesting and challenging. It has made me to connect with people on all levels and has also afforded me the opportunity to serve and give back to my society. Though there could be a few movement restrictions as a lady, sometimes, we may have to drive back home very late due to long-distance coverage for inspections but all the same, it’s been worthwhile and exciting.

Tell us about Monisola. Where were you born? Where did you grow up? What courses did you study?

I was born at Oshogbo and grew up in Ile-Ife, both in Osun State. I had my first degree in Religious Studies, but later furthered my education by obtaining relevant certifications in Customer Care Services, Business Development, and Public Relations.

Do you see a bright future for the real estate sector?

Absolutely, the future is very bright for the real estate sector and her investors in Nigeria. There are new innovations daily that point to that direction. For example, just like the growing interest in houses for sale in nora springs iowa the Nigerian market is experiencing a surge in property investments, reflecting a global trend in real estate.
