In all, the data by CBN disclosed that total assets, a combination of equity & liabilities, total deposits and Other Liabilities increased to N19.6 trillion in June from N18 trillion in May.

Total assets according to CBN in March stood at N18.28 trillion.

Furthermore, the data collected from CBN showed that  Federal Government Securities stood at N2.37 trillion from N2.3 trillion and N2.2 trillion in April and March respectively.

The apex bank in its economic report for May said total deposits at the CBN declined by 1.2 per cent to N11.5 trillion at the end of May 2017, as a result of the fall in both Federal Government and banks’ deposits, which more than offset the increase in private sector deposit with the CBN.
