Tribunal Upholds Wike’s victory

The governorship election petitions tribunal sitting in Port Harcourt has dismissed the petition filed by the African Action Congress, AAC, and its governorship candidate, Biokpomabo Awara, challenging the victory of Governor Nyesom Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The three-man panel led by Justice J.A Ojaiko dismissed the petition on technical grounds, that both the first and second petitioners abandoned their petitions.

The tribunal dismissed all applications filed on behalf of the AAC by Awara.

The tribunal also dismissed for incompetence another application for pre-trial hearing. “applic���|�-
