  • What Prof. FEMI BAMIRO’s Wife Wrote About Him

A songwriter says, “What shall we say unto the Lord, all we have to say is thank you, Lord!” We give all glory to Him, the Author and Finister of our faith, who spared our lives to witness this day and for the special privilege of celebrating this milestone and landmark achievement together. God in His wonderful works and in His mercies made our paths to cross not only to be called husband and wife or as mere companions but it was divinely arranged for His glory to be revealed a new.

I, therefore, thank God for His faithfulness and for keeping His covenants, which He established with our union thus far. I have cause to thank God, bless the day we met as well as the individuals (tools) and circumstances that brough about our union.

I bless the name of the Lord, who stood by us and preserved our lives when we were faced with the armed robbery attack of the 4th October, 2016. He sent His words, confused and confounded the robbers in accordance with His words in John 10 vs 10”. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destory: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”. To Him be all the glory, Halleluyah!

Today is a very special day in your life, my husband in which the whole world celebrates you along with us the members of your family. This is indeed acknowledged and appreciated but the truth is, I celebrate you everyday with every God-given breath in me.

This is because I have experienced so much care, love and words of encouragement all the while in this short but meaninful time we have been together. You are a unique gift to me from Heaven. I also wish to let you know that the greatest moments are those we shared together, greater still, are those we spend at miles apart for they are spent in anticipation of the very time we will be together again.

Many thanks for your special care even when you are miles away from home and for keeping in touch constantly and giving me daily update of all your activities; which gives me the opportunity to pray aright.

I cannot but express my gratitude to God for endowing you specially and for giving you the grace to wonderfully and fearfully carry on your responsibilities as a caring husband, father and grandfater. You cannot imagine how deeply I am touched whenever you go all out to ensure provision was made to take care of the children’s hospitality whenever anyone of them was to visit us here in Ibadan.

Let me use this medium to appreciate all the children, your extended family members and friends for their care and for making us feel loved and wanted especially the roles played by all during the wedding of Abimbola and Oluwakemi on Friday, 13th and Saturday 14, October, 2017. My prayer is that God will reward all your labour of love. I am grateful to you for not taking me for granted on any issue. May we continue to be special gifts from God Almighty as well as sources of blessings to one another.

My love, there are so many things to thank you for but time and space will not allow me now. I need to let you know that I love you dearly the way you are. I want to thank you for everything that you are and everything that you choose not to be. Your thoughtfulness, your good character, your ability to empathise with others, your respect for others and your willingness to always lend a helping hand even when it was mostly inconvenient for you. Your being concerned about the feelings of others and putting them ahead of your very self and many other sterling qualities of yours are worthy of commendation and are all appreciated.

I enjoy and appreciate your company, words of wisdom, your native intelligent and your many admonitions never to allow anyone to steal my joy but to learn to ignore or overlook many things in life. Happy Birthday My Confidant, My Brother and My Love! God in His mercy, will continue to keep His covenants of peace, progress, prosperity, perfect health with sound mind, favour, mercy, victory, oneness, success, joy and longevity with us, all the children as well as the well-wishers.

Welcome to the fold of the Septuagenarians, my darling! I will always love you because when others thought I am worthless, God sent you to let me know that I am worthy. Let me close with the word of God in 1 Peter 5:10’ But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen and settle you’ (Amen).

Hearty Congratulations with all my love!

Olayinka Bamiro
