The United Vanguard of Nigeria, [UVAN] Oyo, on Saturday, December 30, 2017, converged at the prestigious Plaza De Aruna Elekara, Oyo to re-unite members and for re position of more than two decades old club.
The objective of the meeting is aimed at uniting and solidifying relationship among members within the group towards the development of their community in particular, Oyo State and Nigeria at large. They also gathered to nominate some of their members who will hold forth some important offices pending the time when a substantive executives will be duly elected.
According to the Registrar of UVAN, Comrade Niyi Adeniran, 3 important excos were nominated to operate in an interim status, and they include;
*Comrade Wale Adelakun – President
*Comrade Niyi Adeniran – Registrar
*Comrade Banji Olorunkosebi – Director of Finance.
For the purpose of capacity building and personal development, annual public lectures were suggested to be embarked upon by the organization.
Top of the agenda was also the need to reposition the organization for continuity and upgrade in scope and horizon in order to strategize and meet up with future challenges, wherein, expansion of membership will be allowed into the club so that new members can inject new ideas and dynamism that will sustain and project the organization into greatness.
Several other deliberations were also made, some of which include the stipulated annual due, opening of a new bank account, venue of subsequent meetings and regular support for members of the forum whenever the need arise.
While encouraging regular online engagement of members, the Registrar also appealled that all members should always try to be present whenever any member is celebrating an achievement or otherwise.
