Senator Buruji Kashamu, died on Saturday, August 8, 2020, and was buried the following day according to Islamic rites. His death came as a rude shock to many as he had tested negative to COVID-19 twice within a month before his death. Two Sundays back, family and friends gathered for his 8th-day Firdau Prayer to pay last respect to the philanthropist, who positively affected so many lives in Ogun State and beyond.
A first-class Muslim cleric, Sheyh Muyideem Bello was at the 8th-day Fidau prayer to reveal shocking things that may be happening to Bujuri’s remains in the grave and urged family members and friends to learn from him;
“Kashamu was very rich, no doubt, but despite, whoever is owing him should return the money. If you don’t return the money, it will affect you and your generation on the day of resurrection.
“Also, for as many people who Kashamu may owe while he was alive, I implore those who will be in charge of his property to return such money to those concerned”, so that he (Buruji) could also be at peace in heaven, and so that his grave could be convenient for him. I said it a while ago that observing 3 days, 8 days or 41 days after the burial of a Muslim is not in the Sharia. It is the cleric who did research and got some mysterious findings that man may not understand.
“When Buruji was buried, he had no idea that he was dead. It is on the 3rd day that he would notice that he was no longer where he used to be.
“On the 8th day, the remains will rise to the top of the grave and bursts, as water will begin to flow around the dead body; this is when the ants and creatures under the soil would begin their works on the lifeless body. They would continue to feast on the body until 40 days. At the 40th day under the soil, all the veins holding the body will wear off and the flesh will no longer hold the bones. The insects will now begin to transfer the bones and joints across the parts of the body. This is why we pray on those days; 3rd day, 8th day and 40 days”.
“I am now saying it now that we have lost a mighty man. I implore you not to incur the wrath of God by how you behave in his absence. Don’t go about dancing and singing because you are observing the 8th day of his exit from the world. It is forbidden. Don’t spend his money anyhow. For those he intended to give cars to, give the cars to them, for those he intended to sponsor to Mecca and some who he intended to build schools for, please do… everything he intended to do, while he was alive, please help to make his intention come true. Buruji was a special breed. Now that God has taken him home, it is our prayer that God preserves those who are left behind.”
“Buruji also promised to build prayer ground for Muslims in Ijebu Igbo, he made the promise during his mother’s burial, and in the memory of his mother. Do you know he died exactly a year after his mum?”
“Do you know Buruji has prepared for his death with the photo used for his burial? He was telling us a story back then, “but we are just getting the understanding now. He was saying that life has an end. Life will end, but I am taking this photo as a reminder for you to know that life has an end”
It is the photo we are looking at and learning from today.
