Why do we have single mothers?
The case study as shown that alot of women become single mothers as a result of the following issues
@ child out of wedlock, @Death of a spouse, @ product of a failed marriage.
WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES THEY FACE
Alot of single mothers in our society,do experience so much hardship raising their children but still put up a strong face, because they want to see the children succeed.
They experience alot of financial meltdown and emotional breakdown,they are seen as second class citizen even when they do not know their stories.
Alot of them get depressed because at some point getting to meet with the needs of the children is a big task for them and this sometimes make them vulnerable to some people especially the opposite sex.
Alot of them are emotionally physiologically drained, they appear strong for their children and family members but are drained within because of fear of being rebuked by the society.
85% of mothers go all out to make sure their children succeed no matter what it takes and how tasking it maybe,some are weak and this affects the growth of the children and that brings about bad characters in the children,our society is quick to judge the single mum which is not an idle thing to do.
A single mum worry over everything and anything that concerns the life of her child, especially when it comes to their social, academic and spiritual life as well as their relationships ,they want the best for their children.
Raising a child alone is the most tasking and challenging thing you can give anyone to do,as a single mother the financial aspect of it drains the woman easily and this makes most of them breakdown,the struggle of being a single mum is the craziest thing that can happen to any woman.
Statistics as shown us that single mothers face alot of marginalisation in our society,our society see them as second class citizen,they see them as wayward and unworthy people which is not right
Our society does not respect a single mum no matter how well she raises her children,they are always suspicious of them,they see them as careless and irresponsible women and these they extend to their children.
Alot of single mum raises great and wonderful children,they raise successful children,who turn out to have good homes.

Stop feeling guilty, Make peace with the past, Ask for help even if you are denied sometimes, Be prayerful, Create time for the children, Make your children your friend, Nurture and set goals for yourself, Love your children, Set rules.
It’s true that alot of single mums tend to fight emotional challenges loneliness and depressions,but the only way to get out of this is letting go of the past.
There are so many things people do not know about most single mums examples are
They think outside the box, They are open minded, They are strong, They make sacrifices, They are creative
They are hard working, They are independent, Should our society support single mothers
Yes our society should support single mothers not all single mothers choose to be single mums but circumstances as have raised above may lead to such events,they should be respected given a place and chance to prove that they can be trusted.
DISADVANTAGES OF A SINGLE MOTHER
A single mum trend is very common in our society, because alot of women feel they are better off being by themselves not putting the children into consideration and also the disadvantages are so enormous and it would affect the children negative.
FEW DISADVANTAGES OF BEING A SINGLE MOTHER
Not having constant money is a major disability as a single mother, especially when the other partner is not helping out.
Working challenges as a single mother juggling between work and taking care of the children is a major challenges and one as to be more proactive in this area so as nobody would suffer loose,having to take care of the children and working at the same time is going to cause alot of distraction.
Negative thoughts-Somwtimes you breakdown and get overwhelmed and this affects the children, because the moment you breakdown there’s going to be extended aggression on the children and it discourages and causes distraction for the kids
Behavioural problems-sometimes they fail in following nup on their children’s studies and school activities,the children’s performance at school.is also affected if you do not monitor or follow up
Clinging to your children- A single lonely parent can get attached to their children, clinging to them for constant company or support is not advisable but alot of single mums do this all the time
Let’s not be too clingy to the children,let’s make them dependent on themselves.
Show love to your children_Each day set aside,sometime to spend with your children you can play read or share stories with them, shower your children with love pray with them,praise and encourage them at all time and show them love.
