Why ALIMOSHO People Don’t Joke With ENILOLOBO

Few days ago, Alimosho was agog as members of the ruling party, All Progressive Congress in Lagos stormed the 54th birthday party of Alhaji Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo, who is the Coordinator of the APC Mandate Group in Lagos State. The ceremony, which is more like a carnival, was held at Noble Castle Hall, an event centre located at Lanre Bus-stop, Lasu-Igando road. It recorded the massive attendance of different vibrant groups from the nooks and crannies of Alimosho and other parts of Lagos. They all trooped out to rejoice with the man of the moment.

The show of love by the people of Alimosho tells a lot about who the celebrant is to them. They rally around him and his lovely wife, Alhaja Abibat Omolara Enilolobo in making the celebration worthwhile.

City People’s Jamiu Abubakar had a chat with Mrs. Olusanya Adenike, who is one of the proud proteges of Alhaji Enilolobo.  She is among the women leaders in Alimosho. She holds the prominent office of the Supervisor for Woman Affair and Poverty Alleviation, WAPA in Ayobo Ipaja LCDA. She is also the coordinator of Posh Angels of Alimosho, an NGO and socio-political group known for empowering women in the community. She extolled Alhaji Enilolobo, pointing out the many qualities that stand him out as a politician and how his leadership has been helpful to many of them. All she said was exactly what other Alimosho APC members are saying about the celebrant who is their apex leader. Below are excerpts:

“Alhaji Enilolobo is our leader. I call him my role model. He is a leader that you love to be with. He changed my perspectives about other leaders. Since I have been with him, I have seen a leader that is different. In everything he does, he always has a fear of God in it. That is why we have come here today to celebrate him. He is a wonderful man and he is worth emulating as a leader. We are very happy to be here celebrating his birthday.

I’m wishing him many more years ahead of him. I also pray he will continue to progress no matter how the devil tries to bring him down. He is a good man and I know he is going to be great. I pray that the Lord Almighty will continue to be with him. He will not leave him or forsake him. He will bless him abundantly. He has raised so many people as a leader. There’s a lot of leaders that we have who cannot even impact peoples’ lives. He has done a lot and that is why you see a lot of people around him. Even at his age, he has done far beyond expectation that even those older than have not done. Those of us under his school of thought are happy celebrating him today. And I pray he will continue to grow higher.
