The race for who will be the next Chairman of LAGOS Redan is hotting up and a leading Real Estate player is running.
CityPeople got him to tell us why he is running. “I, Dr. Segun Oshundairo would be vying for the position of the Chairman of the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) Lagos State Chapter, he explained.

“As one of the highly productive members of REDAN, I served as the Chairman of the Committee responsible for improving mutually beneficial inter-governmental relations.”

“While in service as the chairman of that committee, I successfully led the committee on crucial meetings with government officials, where we were able to make our objectives known, reach a common understanding, meet each other’s demands and achieve expected results.”

“I was also involved in initiation and implementation of socially impactful projects,. One of such project was the redesign nd reconstruction of the burnt Ajiwe Police Station in Ajah.”

“I once served as the head of the financial committee that was in charge of our Annual General Meetings and the committee that was in charge of the end-of-the-year party for 4 years. During the period we were able to successfully organize and deliver wonderful event experience for the entire REDAN members and others who were present at both events.”

“With a clear understanding of the sacrifices and responsibilities that come with leadership, I have severally contributed financially and morally to some social developmental projects in REDAN, Lagos.”

“Due to the respect for association and my trust and belief in REDAN, I intend to positively impact the activities of developers in Lagos. One of the ways to do that is to create a robust engagement platform for all members, government regulatory bodies and institutions and also the general public. My drive for success on REDAN will be intentional and I will show my commitments not only in terms of being available for REDAN programs but ensure the best decisions are taken at all times for the general good of members.”

“As a strong advocate of good governance for our dear Nation, I have served as a member of the committee delegated by REDAN Lagos to show and render full support for Governor Babajide Sanwoolu in his second term campaign.”

“The vision and the mission of Redan, as well as its pursuits for the transformation of the Nigerian Real estate is forever in motion and critically needs quality leadership which I am about to bring to the system. I need the complete support of members.”

“I believe that my plans for REDAN would serve as a powerful vehicle that would take us from where we are currently to where we want to be as an association.”

“My Plans for Redan for the next four years include:

📌 Bridging the gap between our association and government officials. This is to make sure that we are involved in policy formulation before they are implemented.

📌 Lobby and push for the sponsorship of a bill in the Lagos House of Assembly to ensure all real estate developers in Lagos are members of the association.

📌 A letter from REDAN must form part of the document for submission before getting approval for real estate projects.

📌 Construction of a REDAN House and corporate secretariat.

📌 Facilitate the release of REDAN estate as promised by the governor.

📌 Work closely with the National body in realising the mission and vision of the national executives.

📌An all-inclusive administration.

Intensive Advocacy with all stakeholders in achieving our vision.

“From the beginning and to this moment; as a member of REDAN, it has always been about selfless and highly effective service.”
“It has always been about quality service to the association both at the state and federal level and also, quality and efficient service with high regards for the members of REDAN, and to the people of Nigeria.”

“This one opportunity to lead REDAN Lagos will never be taken for granted and would be well utilized along with the entire members, to overcome our limitations, reform the system, partner with relevant institutional bodies, make highly critical decisions, and raise and uphold the values of REDAN.”
