The showbiz industry is filled up with many pretty ladies in their 30s and 40s even 50s, who are still single. The truth remains that, these stars desire to be married, live under a man and even have their own children like every other normal lady out there. There are, however, so many factors stopping their dreams from coming true. Though this does not apply to only showbiz stars, but to a large number of ladies who are in the limelight. Unfortunately, many young girls are looking up to the stars as role models and mentors in society.
Though, a lot of them claimed marriage is not an achievement and that they would rather remain single since they are happy and have all they need materially. Deep down in their hearts, they crave to be “Mrs” and even have children, and this has made many of them opt for the baby mama option.
Take a good look at the industry especially the movie industry today, many ‘A’-list actresses settle down with guys below their class. They use their money and fame to upgrade the guys in question, this is something many of them frown at some years ago. Now, the time has changed, they want the “Mrs.” title to their names and want their status changed. Anyways it gives them more respect in society.
Mostly, they seek a single guy.
These unmarried stars are easily tagged prostitutes and below are some reasons they are finding it very difficult to settle down.
The fear of a marriage crash has remained a major factor that has been discouraging many showbiz stars from settling down. Out of 100 married stars, at least, 70 percent of them has suffered a crash within a few years into the marriage. Some don’t even last a year. Mostly, the crash is always messy, as many of them wash their dirty linen in the public. It is, therefore, not a surprise that fear of going through dirty drama makes most of them stay single.
Their lifestyles don’t help as well. They are celebrities and have to live as such. They live a very flamboyant lifestyle, which most men can’t fund or tolerate. It takes only an already made man to give them the lifestyle they desire. An average guy definitely won’t be able to meet up their expectation.
The notion that they sleep around is another factor. Most people believe that showbiz stars are only out to showcase themselves on screen and entice men, and they can’t make a good wife. Many men who desire to marry them often bring the condition that they should forget their career and concentrate on building a family. That has always been a tough decision for them to make, because of their passion for the job.
The inability to separate the characters in movies and their true life is another factor. There are some stars who are stereotype in movies, and this affects them in real life. A lot of people see that character in them in real life and regard them as such.
Showbiz stars live an extravagant lifestyle and their taste is very high, so they want a rich and well-grounded man, and not the one, that is struggling to make ends meet. How many of such men are available these days? Sometimes, some of them get a struggling guy and upgrade him to their level, but their love for freedom, even after marriage is a big hindrance. They still want to have that freedom to fly and do things the way they were used to while being single. They want to go to locations, take time to work, hang out with friends anytime and enjoy themselves. How many men are ready to tolerate all that from wives? So, it’s a case of they wanted to eat their cakes and still have them. If the man is not complaining, his family members will. She could hold on if she is very rich and calls the shot at home.
They easily jump out of marriage. The celebrity thing has got into their heads so much, that they find it difficult to tolerate things that their husband frowns at.
Probably because of many side attractions outside, they have zero tolerance for any bull shit from me. Things that an ordinary lady will overlook and move on, they won’t take it, instead, they will walk out and believe something better and bigger will come because of their fame. People have misconceptions about the nature of their jobs, so many believe they are not responsible enough to be wives, which is far from the truth, forgetting the fact that they are just doing their jobs as every other professional out there.
Most people also believe that they can’t stay in a marriage for too long, so this always chases men away from them, because the men too don’t want to have a broken home, especially when children are involved, they get to suffer more. Different attractions from too many men because of their fame, confuse them to know which men are serious, and which ones they just want to play around with. It is always a difficult decision to make and at the end of the day, they settle for the wrong guys and the relationship don’t always last for long.
Many showbiz stars don’t want to be submissive. They want to be the man in the marriage, living life according to their own terms, and this has made most men to avoid them like plague.
Some men don’t even like the idea of settling down with a lady who is more successful than them except for some lazy ones. So, with all the above scenarios how would a young struggling man propose to a lady already living in a mansion in Lekki, with different exotic cars in her garage coupled with her fame, and she is expected to be submissive to a man who has nothing or little to offer her.
