Star actress, Olufunke Akindele has been in the news for the past few weeks, for various reasons. She is currently one of the hottest actresses on the scene right now. She has over 16 million followers on INSTAGRAM.

She had the premiere of her new movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa, a few days ago and a lot of movie stars stormed the venue to honour her. Days before, she sent out her invitation to celebrities. It came in a Big Box, filled with all sorts of gifts both for Men and Women.

With the premiere done with, the movie hit all the major cinemas, nationwide last Saturday 14th December 2024.

Advance Screening took place on 11th & 12th December at all the Filmhouse Cinemas located in Lekki, Landmark, Samonda, Surulere, Twin Waters, Akure, Benin, Circle Mall, Dugbe  & Ikota.

She has also been doing Meet & Greet all over the country, with favourite actors like Patience Ozokwo at Genesis Cinema, Asaba last Saturday 14th December, Adedimeji Leteef at Silverbird Cinemas, Jabi, and Funke herself at Silverbird Cinema, Ikeja. There was a lot of merchandise give aways at Silverbird Ikeja.

A few days ago, popular actress Funke Akindele, launched her real estate company Jenifa Gardens, after many years as a brand ambassador to Redbricks Homes International, the developers of Amen estates.

It was a big step the popular actress has taken into a new area. Although, she has been doing well as an Influencer for Amen Estates over the last 8 years.

Akindele, who is also an Ambassador for Amen Estate, a popular estate located on the Ibeju Lekki axis of Lagos, revealed on her IG page that the development will boast world-class infrastructure, including tarred roads, and efficient drainage systems, top-notch security, and an uninterrupted power supply.

In an Instagram post, Akindele shared her excitement, describing the project as fulfilling a long-time dream.

“I’m excited to share a transformative chapter of my life! After years of hard work, I’ve turned my dream of owning a real estate development with world class infrastructure into reality. From the drainage system, the tarred roads, top notch security and uninterrupted power supply, beautified by flowers and pools in every home,” she wrote. “I proudly present Jenifa Gardens, a place where dreams come true. This real estate venture embodies the belief that everyone deserves a home that reflects their style and personality.

She also revealed what inpired her into the sector “Growing up, my family and I didn’t have the best kind of house but I had always wished we could live in a beautiful home; home with pool, flowers and gardens. Today I’m glad to see the result of my hard work, from creating major projects to becoming an household name and owning homes and representing a major brand like Amen Estate which has exposed me to the world of real estate. In life you get to a stage when you want to plant a legacy in the heart of many people and affording them the same dream I had as a child. As it is, I present to you our own, my own Jenifer Gardens. Jenifa Gardens is carefully designed to be a safe haven for families”

The estate, located just two minutes drive from the coastal road and opposite the NNPC Filling Station in Eleko, Ibeju-Lekki, boasts OF world-class infrastructure, including a modern drainage system, tarred roads, 24/7 security, uninterrupted power supply, and a tranquil ambience enhanced by flowers and pools in every home.

This real estate project is announced amid preparations for her new movie, she is asking people to take advantage of her pre-exclusive Launch Promo offer at Jenifa Gardens that would last from 28th November to 10th January 2025.

Her pre-launch price is N30m for 300sqm, with N3m initial deposit of N4 million. “Everybody Loves Jenifa,” which will air in cinemas on Dec. 13, 2024. This isn’t the famous actress’s first venture into real estate. In recent years, she has collaborated with Amen Estate, creating promotional videos to showcase their developments.

Funke Akindele also known as Jenifa, is a brilliant filmmaker, actress, director, producer, politician and now Realtor. Akindele starred in the Sitcom I Need to Know from 1998 to 2002 and in 2009, she won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role, for her role in Jenifa, which brought her to fame. Akindele reprised the role in 2011 sequel The Return of Jenifa and 2015 soft reboot television series titled Jenifa’s Diary, for which she was named the Best Actress in a Comedy at the 2016 and 2017 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. Akindele won the same award in 2020 and 2022, making it her fifth win for the Best Actress in a Comedy Category.

Akindele is the most nominated actress/filmmaker at the AMVCA and holds the record for most wins for an actress with six. She is the second director to gross over a billion naira at box office and is currently the Highest-Grossing Director in Nigerian Box Office with a total gross of over N2.9 billion.
