Nigerian celebrity, actor and comedienne, Helen Paul has finally revealed why she had to publicly talk about the circumstances surrounding her birth.
In an exclusive chat with City People, the latest celebrity PhD holder revealed that Nigerians prefer only to read bad news and negative stories about other people instead of celebrating achievements.
Helen Paul said more people responded to her post on Instagram about her mother being raped which resulted in her birth than those who actually congratulated her on the feat.
The Jara anchor had earlier spoken out on her handle with a post which reads
“I HELEN PAUL dedicate this to my mum, you gave birth to me out of rape, they told you
I grew up hearing from family members; being called a “Bastard” and each time
They say Fame is nothing but Grace is everything and
I’m not a Cele member but Late Osofa gave me the name and everything Late Osofa said about Helen Paul is coming to pass
I dedicate this to every mother, may God make you strong enough to survive and enjoy the fruit of your labour…”
The foremost female comedian who starred on radio as Tatafo has dedicated her Ph.D in Theatre Arts to her mother for standing by her all the way.
