Pastor Jerry Eze is one Pastor everybody is talking about right now. He is young. He is only 40, but he has broken barriers even beyond the shores of Nigeria.
His ministry exploded during the Covid-19 lockdown, when his church, Streams of Joy International was unable to hold services.
Since churches were not open, many of the churches took their programme online and one pastor who saw opportunity in this was Pastor Eze. He became a global phenomenon in no time with his style of prayer.
Till today, post COVID, many still connect to this prayer line. He has been recognised and acknowledged by one of the biggest international media outlets, CNN as a prayer warrior and religious leader with strong global influence.
According to CNN, with more than 90,000 peak concurrent viewers, Eze’s daily broadcasts rank among the most streamed globally on YouTube, according to the analytics website Playboard, which collates data for YouTube channels. His YouTube platform also ranks second among gospel channels with the most live viewers worldwide, behind Brazilian preacher, Bruno Leonardo.
His self-named YouTube channel has over 880,000 subscribers as of the time of writing and his broadcasts have garnered more than 122 million views over a three-year period, according to figures from his channel.
Pastor Jerry Eze is a convener of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD). He’s Lead Pastor at Streams of Joy International. He is a strong believer that “What God Cannot Do, Does Not Exist”, little wonder lots of people all over the world share amazing testimonies while engaging with him on YouTube. He made popular the cliche, ‘what God cannot do does not exist’.
The 40-year-old preacher and prayer warrior was born on August 22, 1982 in Bende Local Government area of Abia State. He was raised by a petty-trader single mother and his education was funded by a couple who were in love with his active participation in church activities as a youth, Pastor Eze’s success on YouTube has placed Nigeria on the map of countries with successful preachers on YouTube.
Eze also rakes in large amounts of donations from his broadcasts. He is one of YouTube’s top-earning preachers. He leverages the platform’s Super Chat donations that help creators earn revenue. YouTube’s Super Chat feature allows viewers to pin their comments on live streams for a fee that ranges from $1 to $500. Pastor Eze’s YouTube channel receives one of the highest Super Chat donations in the world, according to playboard. Pastor Eze may have become an internet phenomenon, but insists his fame is accidental.
He had started livestreaming, hoping to inspire his congregation when the pandemic shut down all church services and attendance at his fledgling ministry, Streams of Joy International. Pastor Eze’s daily messages of encouragement later morphed into an online prayer network every weekday on YouTube and other video-sharing services.
Of a humble background, he grew up in the city of Umuahia, Abia State with his single mother. He is a Seeded Pastor, passionate preacher, teacher and founder and President of Streams of Joy International’s fast-growing currents. He established the streams of Joy International in 2011. His ministry, is a church made up of people with many different backgrounds and nationalities. Popularly known as PJ, Pastor Jerry leads over 5,000 worshipers in various branches, headquartered at Klm 4 Ikot Ekpene Road, Umuahia.
He is a passionate teacher of the word of God, and the charismatic Author and President of the fast-growing Streams of Joy International. He is a motivational speaker, and a leadership coach. By profession, the work of the ministry has taken him to higher platforms around the world.
He attended Ibeku High School, Umuahia for his secondary education and later proceeded to Abia State University where he obtained a degree in History and International Relations. Pastor Jerry Eze also holds an M.Sc in Human Resource Management.

He is a leader, a consummate conference speaker, with a deep passion to see people achieve their God-given mission on earth.
Pastor Jerry is happily married to his heartthrob, Pastor Eno Jerry who has been very supportive of his ministry, they are blessed with a lovely daughter, Samara and a son, Jerry.
In 2011, by the leading of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Jerry started the Rivers of Joy Devotional, which has spread across 5 continents of the world, with testimonies of impact in many lives.
After graduating from ABSU, Pastor Jerry worked briefly in broadcasting and later with the United Nations and the World Bank Project, where he resigned by God’s instruction in 2009, committing himself to full-time ministry.
When Pastor Jerry was a child, he recognized that he was destined to be a minister, and this greatly influenced his success today. When Pastor Jerry Uchechuwkwu Eze was in university, he served as pastor of the university chapel, All Saints Chapel. He founded Streams of Joy International in 2011 and is the leader of New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declaration (NSPPD).
