On Thursday, 8th of April, 2021, Oyindamola Barakat Odetola, the pretty daughter of Alabi Pasuma said “I do” to her long time heart-throb, Olajuwon Babatunde Bello.
The wedding was grand, as many celebrities showed massive love and support to Ajibola Pasuma, as he threw this wedding for his 2nd daughter. Many Fuji stars were there to honour him.
K1, the Fuji legend who is the godfather of Alhaji Alabi Pasuma, the Maiyegun of Yorubaland, was there in many capacities to honour Pasuma. He was the Official Musician of the day. Pasuma’s wish and dream was to have K1 on the band stand.
Many don’t know Pasuma admires and holds K1 in awe. Infact, he loves K1 to the bone. He constantly visits the music lord at his Ojusagbola Ijebu-Ode mansion. Pasuma is also close to many of K1’s close friends and allies. When K1 adopted a son, Olamilekan Gaji at the burial for his Dad, Pasuma stormed Ijebu-Ode and stayed for 2-days. While many expressed surprise at how Pasuma often pays homage to K1 and hails him, Pasuma laughed because the bond he shares with K1 supercedes all what people see and read on Internet and Instagram. He has a special place in K1’s heart and this is the only reason K1 agreed to be a Guest Of Honour and also show him love. Don’t forget that when K1’s 3 daughters got married years ago, Pasuma was the one who led all musicians to K1’s Ojusagbola’s mansion in Ijebu-Ode. People call Pasuma “Afenifere”. He is well loved among socialites owing to his humility.
His daughters wedding paraded many A-list celebrities from all over Nigeria. Many of his fans are now his family members. They have all made their intention known to honour him. Some major hotels within the locality where the wedding took place were fully booked.
During the performance, K1 revealed why he had to perform for Pasuma. Below are his reasons!
When the news broke that the popular Fuji maestro, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly called K1, would be the official artiste to perform at Otunba Alabi Pasuma’s daughter wedding, a lot of people didn’t believe the story, while some frowned at it. A lot of people wondered why the King of Fuji would perform at Pasuma’s daughter’s wedding; knowing full well that, Pasuma is like a son to him (K1).
But we can tell you that K1 didn’t only come, he came and performed and he gave his reasons. According to the ace Fuji maestro, he said Haruna Ishola performed for Ayinla (Egunmagaji). Just like Ebenezer also performed for his ‘son’ Dr Sikiru Ayinde Barrister. He said history has now repeated itself today as he performs for Pasuma daughter, Barakat.
