It’s been seven weeks into the Big Brother Naija Lockdown season and fans are already rooting for their preferred housemates. The show, which has captured the hearts of fans across the continent since it kicked off on July 19th, has sparked numerous debates online as fans declare their support, especially for Laycon. When Laycon was unveiled along with 20 other housemates, no one believed he was going two last two weeks in the house, judging from his little nature and quiet gesture.
Momentum began to gather for Laycon the very first time he opened his mouth to hold his position on a matter that bothers on the relationship. The so-called big boys in the house began to sit around him to learn from his depth of knowledge. It also came as a shock when Laycon became the very first Housemate to get his Instagram handle verified with no fewer than 626,000 followers and counting.
Laycon would later get himself entangled in another raging triangle amidst Erica and Kiddwaya. Though Laycon and Erica started out as friends, Laycon, having survived the first eviction and with prompting from Brighto, decided to express his feelings to Erica. Things however did not go as planned for Laycon as Erica stated that she was only “mentally attracted” to him and physically attracted to Kiddwaya. Laycon would later try to distance himself from Erica, a move that did not seem to agree with her as she repeatedly tried to continue interactions. The trio has remained a constant hot topic for fans as the weeks have progressed.
Laycon became a threat to every member of the House who aims to clinch the money at end of the season, when he revealed his creative side, when he performed his original indigenous skit for 5 minutes on the go without pause. He seems to top the list as many Nigerians including celebrities are praying and hoping that he comes out as the winner of the show.
Outside the house, Lekan is enjoying huge support from A-list celebrities who would stop at nothing to ensure he emerges the last man standing at the BigBrother lockdown. Some of the celebrities rooting for Laycon include Tunde Ednut, Nkechi Blessing, OAP Dotun, Broda Shaggi, Samklef, Anita Joseph, Toyin Lawani, Yul Edochie, Reminisce, Teni Apata, Vector, Niniola, and a whole lot more.
