Olawale Akanji Lawal is a research and consulting professional with extensive experience across multiple sectors. He holds degrees from the University of Bath, the London School of Economics and the University of Oxford.
He is passionate about building knowledge on Africa and promoting African expertise. This year, he is on Quartz Magazine’s list of top African innovators for his work in founding The Republic, a platform for serious journalism from an African worldview.
Currently, as a Senior Researcher at HBS, his interests include African business landscapes with a focus on individuals/organisations facing or solving interesting challenges.
Wale as he is fondly called is the co-founder of Gatepass, a mobile platform that connects estate managers with their residents on community-related issues. GatePass is building an extensive and convenient distribution channel for brands looking to build long-term relationships with local consumers.
OLUWOLE ABDUL-AZEEZ LAWAL
Oluwole Abdul-Azeez Lawal, known as “Wole Lawal” is a freelance model, real estate broker and manager of Seagle Properties. He is the third son of Otunba Yemi Lawal, a popular businessman and real estate guru in Lagos.

Wole Lawal, son of Yemi Lawal was appointed Manager after he graduated from the Imperial College Business School and began his career in real estate broking. The young man had before then, proved his worth by graduating in flying colours from the University of Essex with a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and a Master’s degree in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management from Imperial College London.
Dogged and resilient with qualities passed on to him by his father, Wole, although a native of Ogun State, is a Lagos born and bred go getter. Wole had his primary school at Corona School Victoria Island and secondary school at Corona Secondary school Agbara, Ogun State. He spent two years for his A-levels at Malvern College, Great Malvern, Worcestershire, England. Despite the young man’s booming broking career, Wole found himself giving life to his modelling career- a passion that had burned in him since childhood.
OLAYEMI HAFSAT LAWAL
Olayemi Hafsat Lawal, a barrister at law and a shining light in the Lawal dynasty is the fourth child and the first daughter of Otunba Yemi Lawal. She works as Associate Counsel at Adepetun Caxton-Martins Agbor & Lawyer at Segun (Energy, Project Finance and Fintech)
The University of Leicester-trained Law graduate was called to the Bar in 2018 having finished at the Abuja law school. She is also a beauty-preneur. Little wonder her dresses are always classy whenever she appears on the scene.
OLAMIDE AYOKA LAWAL
Olamide Ayoka Lawal is the last child of Otunba Yemi Lawal. She is smart and very intelligent. She is currently a student of Architecture in one of the Ivy League Universities. She is an award-winning student and has not let the family down. To say that she is towing the path of her older siblings will just be apt. She has a very promising future and is definitely loved by her parents and siblings.
