The rumour had been making the rounds since the beginning of the year, that the Ooni of Ife, Oba Ogunwusi was going to marry 3 wives before the end of the year. And that is exactly what he has done. As you read this, Kabiyeesi has married 2 beautiful wives and the 3rd is set to move in. Recall, when City People reported the news of his marriage to Olori Mariam Anako Ogunwusi few weeks back, we also hinted that he will be picking some other wives few days to his birthday. Now Ooni has picked 2 more wives and this will be 4 altogether after 3 failed marriages.
Weeks after getting married for the fourth time to Olori Mariam Anako, a Queen from Ebira in Kogi state, and also getting Olori Elizabeth Opeoluwa Ogunwusi is adding Akinmuda betrothed to him in Magodo, Lagos, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi is adding two more wives this October.
The Ooni of Ife will be marrying Tobi Phillips and Ashley Adegoke before his 48th birthday this month. Tobi Phillips is a graduate of Marine Science from the University of Lagos and a former Beauty Queen. It was initially speculated that she would be replacing Olori Zainab Wuraola who walked away from her marriage to the Osun monarch.
Queen Ashley on the other hand, is a Chartered Accountant and currently runs an NGO that caters to less privileged kids and widows through the Ashley Adegoke Foundation. She has a Masters in Accounting and Finance from the University of Greenwich, and currently runs her businesses in the United Kingdom.
It has been reported that Queen Ashley is from the Lafogido royal house and her late father, Jacob Adebiyi Adegoke was a Prince of the source and she has been seen frequently at the Ooni’s palace for over a year now.
The new 2 queens after the first 2 are getting set to come in. He just married Queen Tobi this last weekend, Sunday October 9 and Queen Ashley will be coming in next week by October 16. And as we have gathered, 2 more would still join his imperial majesty Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Babatunde Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ojaja II in his palace.

Already plans are in top gear as Ooni is planning a superlative wedding reception ceremony for Olori Mariam Ajibola Ogunwusi on Sunday, October 16, 2022. The Monday after this big party is the birthday of his Imperial Majesty, the 51st Ooni as he clocks 48 years. By then he would officially have 4 Olooris in the palace.
Queen Tobi like she loves to call herself and the revered monarch have been an item now for close to 6 years. Infact, many had thought that the “Unilag graduate of Marine Sciences” was going to become the queen then, after the marriage between Olori Zaynab Wuraola and the monarch had collapsed irretrievably and Olori Zaynab had left the palace unceremoniously, but that wasn’t to be, as it was ‘prophetess Silekunola Naomi Oluwaseyi’ that captured the heart of the monarch and became the queen instead. But Tobi was patient still.
Tobi Philips was the one that won the ‘World Miss University Africa (WMUA) in 2012’ then, as a 20 year old brilliant undergraduate of 400 level after she had emerged as the winner of WMUN, while still at the ‘University of Lagos’ in Akoka. She was a 1st runner up Miss Unilag, 1st runner up Sisi Oge years back. She’s now a popular fashion designer since 2020 owning the label-QTP Luxury Fashion and has been a 3D artist since 2018. She’s from Okitipupa LGA in Ondo State of Nigeria. Her brand QTP actually refers to her initials Q-queen, T-Tobi and P-Phillips.She is a bit young, she is 32 years.
Despite that Princess Ashley Afolashade Folakemi Adegoke’ is from a royal family, she is relinquinshing her princess title for that of Queen and not just Queen, but Queen of the source.
We gathered Princess Ashley is a mother of one. She has a daughter who is about 10 years old.

The incoming 4th Olori is actually a princess of the Royal clan of Ile-Ife from the Lafogido royal house and Adagba compound for that matter. Lafogido is one of the 4 ruling houses of Ile-Ife. Her late dad- Prince Jacob Adebiyi Adegoke was a true born Prince of Ife. So she refers to herself as HRH Ashley Afolashade Folakemi Adegoke.
According to her bio-she is a chartered accountant and a philanthropist. She has a Bsc in Accounting and an Msc in Accounting and Finance from the same University, University of Greenwich. She is a UK based businesswoman and the CEO of RisenCrown Ltd and a franchise owner of Triple Two Coffee intu Lakeside Essex. In terms of her philanthropy, she is the founder of the Ashley Adegoke Foundation named after the memory of her beloved father.
Prior to his coronation, His imperial majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Adeyeye Babatunde Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ojaja II 1st got married as a prince then in 2008 to Adebukola Bombatta but the marriage soon crashed. After he was crowned as the 51st Ooni of Ife, he got married in 2016 to the super wealthy ‘Zaynab Wuraola Otiti’ from Bini, in Edo state by 2017 that 1st marriage on the throne also crashed. By 2018 he again found his missing rib in prophetess Silekunola Naomi Oluwaseyi, who owned a thriving church ministry in Akure the Ondo State capital. By 2021 after the birth of their only son Prince Tadenikawo Ogunwusi, that 3 years marriage soon crashed with Olori moving away from the palace.
In 2022 she has been replaced by not just one but 4 now and still counting.
