The movie was solely sponsored by First Bank of Nigeria PLC as part of the bank’s initiative of supporting indigenous art in the country.
Speaking at the event which was highly attended by lots of big players in the Nigerian entertainment industry, the MD/CEO of the bank, Dr. Adesola Adeduntan said the bank understood the potential of the creative industry and how it can greatly assist in alleviating poverty in the land.

“We believe that the creative industry is a very important part of the economy of our country and one that has significant potentials not just to provide employment but to alleviate poverty. So we have this First Arts initiative where we support the creative industry end-to-end; the entire value chain of the creative industry. And over time we have been involved in the sponsorship of several movies such as Mokalik. We have supported a number of artists like Davido, Olamide, Burna Boy and today we are very proud to be the official sponsor of ‘Ayinla’ The Movie. Why have we done this, we believe our culture, our arts is a very important part of whom we are and it reflects who we are. And for us to ensure that our culture, our Arts, and practices don’t perish, it’s extremely important that we continue to mainstream our Arts. And that’s what the entire movie ‘Ayinla’ is all about.

He assured the promoters that as a key sponsor of the creative industry, the bank will continue to put its financial resources and infrastructure to support the industry.
