Governor of Rivers State and a presidential aspirant on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Nyessom Wike, has called for a debate among the party’s presidential aspirants to enable the party to pick the best man to raise its standard at the election.
Wike remarked that the debate would afford him an opportunity to frontally tell other aspirants that they were indebted to him. He said the aspirants who had at a point in time left the party only to return when elections are round the corner should pay him back for holding fort and standing firm in the party for them to achieve their political ambition.
Wike recalled that if stalwarts like him did not stand firm to give the party the necessary support to keep it afloat, on what platform would Atiku Abubakar, Bukola Saraki and Aminu Tambuwal now be running for presidential ticket.
