Thursday, 17th November 2021 was a day many a Glo Subscribers will never forget. Not only were they ecstatic as they received their in the Glo Joy Unlimited Extravaganza promotion, they had an opportunity of a lifetime to meet some of their favourite celebrities one on one. And of course, they clicked away with their camera phones.
The event was the presentation of prizes to the winners of the phenomenal promotion, the biggest in the country at this point in time and the venue was Gloworld Outlet at 21 Adeola Adeogun, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The prize presentation event was held for a total of 203 lucky subscribers who emerged from the first draw of the promotion held recently. They include 71 winners of television sets, 71 winners of generators and 61 winners of refrigerators.
Among prominent personalities who presented the items to the overjoyed winners were Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of ThisDay Newspapers, Mr Eniola Bello; a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Desmond Elliot, Executive Chairman of Eti-Osa East Local Council Development Area, Hon. John Campus Ogundare, Lagos Zonal Coordinator of National Lottery Regulatory Authority (NLRA), Mrs Priscilla Onuzulu, Retired Captain Tunji Shelle, and several celebrities including King Sunny Ade, Teni Makanaki, Patience Ozokwu (Mama G), Samuel Perry (Broda Shaggi) and Godwin Komone (Gordons).
Globacom’s Regional Manager, Sales, Lagos, Abdulrazaq Ande, said the prize presentation ceremony was in fulfilment of the pledge made when the loyalty reward promo was unveiled three weeks ago to spread joy amongst Nigerians during the Yuletide season and into the New Year as well as a confirmation of its resolve to constantly add value to the lives of subscribers on its network.
It was indeed a day of thousand selfies as winners were thrilled about this great opportunity of material and social enrichment just by recharging their own Glo lines with a paltry sum of money.
