20 Instagram Influencers We Hardly Talk About

In Nigeria, the social media space has seen the rise and fall of several influencers; however, there are a few that have stood the test of time. These social media influencers have truly come to their own in re-framing and disseminating brand messages to their rabid fans.It is generally accepted that one-on-one marketing and recommendations are the most effective forms of advertising, and it’s even more amplified when the persons talking about a product or service are individuals who have established authority and credibility. This is because consciously or not we make buying decisions based on the things we see on social media and certain characters play a huge role in those decisions. Whatever they endorse automatically could become a trend and these influencers have in one way or the other made quite a presence on social media. LINDA IKEJI (@LINDAIKEJI)

Linda Ikeji; ex model, entrepreneur and Nigerian news carrier blogger, is an award winning millionaire and advocate of #selfmade woman. She is one of the few women that have distinguished themselves in digital marketing and social media influencing. Her blog is probably the most famous one in Nigeria at the moment with a daily view running into millions. She recently launched her own Social media app, Linda Ikeji Social (LIS) and plans to own her own TV station very soon. She is one of the biggest influencers in Nigeria.

JORO OLUMOFIN (@JOROOLUMOFIN)

A psychologist in training and a relationship blogger and writer, Joro as he is popularly known is unarguably influential in the media space. With several features on national TV, the self acclaimed “Love Doctor” is said to be on the move to launch his own television series like Steve Harvey. Jodi has helped put a lot of relationships together.

OLUWATOSIN AJIBADE (@OLORISUPERGAL)

Known for her lifestyle and entertainment website, OloriSuperGal.com, she is also the organizer of the New Media Conference that is held annually in Nigeria. In 2015, Ajibade was listed among YNaija’s 100 Most Influential Women in Nigeria and her blog is considered today as one of the most reputable and popular in Nigeria. Ajibade has used her blog to call attention to societal issues especially as it affects women and girls. A clear instance is the sexual assault story of a Queen’s College, Lagos student by her teacher which she published and the news consequently went viral and caught the attention of the relevant authorities.

Blogger and social media expert Uche Eze, is the C.E.O of Bainstone Limited and also the founder of BellaNaija, an online entertainment, fashion and lifestyle magazine. She has influenced a lot of new bloggers. Uche was also listed in Forbes “30 Most Promising Young Entrepreneurs in Africa” in 2014. Bella is one page that keeps business moving.

its.priscy daughter to Nigerian actor and film maker Iyabo Ojo, is another teen who is doing tremendously well for herself. She is an influencer and brand ambassador to brands like Hegai and Esther Cosmetics, Cassie Hair etc. She also has her own clothing line and has appeared in several musical features with top Nigerian singers like Lil Kesh and Korede Bello. She has a following of 1.3 million on Instagram.

With 17.2k followers, @queen_steph is still making waves on Instagram. She’s a vlogger, brand influencer, face model and a beauty queen. This teen is a beauty to behold. She has done a lot of face modeling for makeup artist and top makeup brands. Because of her beautiful face and flawless skin brands tend to use her every day to influence their brands and get more customers from her fan base.

QUEEN UDEH PRECIOUS CHIDERA

@queendarerah is a multi-award winning model and brand influencer. This teenager who is signed to Beth Model Africa has graced so many runways and has a total of 250k Instagram followers. Queen is a brand influencer and ambassador to countless brands.

Some of the movies she has acted in are Dumebi In School, The Python Girl, The Batman. The Jericho, etc. She is one of the actresses in the movie industry that will be killing it in the coming years. She is married to one of the richest men in Nigeria and gave birth to a baby boy last year.

One of social media’s baddest influencers born on the 9th of January, Papaya Ex focuses on her career through the Instagram and YouTube as a model, interviewer and an acclaimed actress. Her YouTube channel was just launched as of recent; a channel where she gets to interact and interview celebrities both upcoming and well known.
